Best am/fm radio for outdoor use I have used

I use this product everyday however I’ve had to buy about 15 over time because the speakers are not mounted properly and will become disconnected over time. I also have had problems with the lock switch getting stuck either off or on. But I still love the convenience of its programmability and how it fits my work habits. Love no cord too.

I like the product because it covers both my ears when working in the yard, especially when wearing it when riding on my riding lawn mower. I have to turn the volume up a tad to drown out the lawn mower noise and still hear the music or in my case most importantly when listening to Rush Limbaugh, my most favorite radio talk show to me on radio or on TV for that matter. I have listen to him almost ever day since 1990 when searching the radio dial on the Gulf War in Kuwait, when traveling in my vehicle for work. I bought the headset radio based on the recommendation of a man walking past my home almost every day for years for exercise. Rush provides the most and best informed source of information for both sides of the issue, not only for the Gulf War, but all and every topic he might discuss. I just wish the radio was more reliable. I just bought unit number 4 and 5, or number 5 and 6. My previous radio is about to stop working. I don't want to be without the radio waiting for a new on when working in the yard or around the house now I am retired. Wish I could get them repaired.

great technology, handy to have, but wish you included necessary batteries with your items....did find appropriate batteries at home, and like performance sound but think controls a little complicated....

Set it up in minutes. It will be better than tv when I am at dialysis.

UPS is slow,change to USPS(Postal Service) Can't use Memory right just to just use two differant FM stations. Back and forth between FM and AM is OK It's large and by Bicycle cover hat does not fit.

This makes my third one from you. Only replacing the one I have now because the plastic is worn on the ear sets. I used it today for the first time, lasted 1.5 hours then it make an electrical noise and stopped working. I've tried new batteries(they work in the old unit) and all I get is several zeros on the display but no stations and no sound. VERY DISSAPOINTED How do I return it? I already threw the box away.

The product failed to work! And then I tried to take it to the address listed in the paperwork and found there was no such address! 801 E. 38th Street, FW, TX. There was only a giant warehouse there with no sign of a Radio Shack business. So what do I do with this product now?!?!?!?

The sound is wonderful!

If you expecting crisp highs and rumbling lows, well... these headphone will satisfy half of your desires. The high end is sadly lacking. I tried them on every station in my area, and the high end just wasn't there. Even when using them as just headphones for an outside audio source there simply was no high frequency response. I would refer to the audio as "muddy". I don't know where the high frequency roll-off is, but it is absurdly low. Now, if you're a fan of low end, booming bass that makes your eyeballs vibrate then this a set of headphones for you. And then when you turn on the "E-BASS" it's enough to make your whole head vibrate. It has bass to burn. I wish I could say the same for the highs. On a good note, they are quite comfortable to wear. If I thought I wouldn't be stepping into a quagmire of customer service run-arounds I'd return them and ask for a full refund.

The ordering process went smoothly and I received it in a timely manner. I love these AM/FM radio headphones and purchased a set for work and home. At work, I walk during lunch break and can listen to inspirational shows on the radio. At home, I use the headphones when mowing and doing chores outside. They are also great to have when the power goes out during storms to keep abreast on weather and other emergency situations when power is out. My life is enriched with my new Radio Shack AM / FM headphones. I am blessed.

I have had one of these radios for so long(20+ years) it was falling apart. I was thrilled to find one again since all the Radio Shack stores near me closed. It is exactly like the one that has now gone to the graveyard!

I got a defective product. I was just notified by EMAIL that I am to get a CREDIT to your store on my next purchase. I DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY AGAIN. You deducted from my purchase a restocking fee, I guess! Ok, keep it. That is just plain STEALING in my humble opinion. I WANT A REFUND BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD. I will call tomorrow to DEMAND this done. I will notify my credit card company to DENY payment to your company on my behalf. AN EXTREMELY MAD CUSTOMER

It does exactly what I want it to do.

As you can see I still have the original pair I purchased three years ago through Amazon. I needed another pair in case this one stops working so I bought another pair straight from Radio Shack, so far it has not and I use it on a daily basis to work around the yard. I have purchased other headphones like the 3M from Home Depot none of these compare to this radio, this AM/FM radio headset is the best product on the market for under $60.

It was nice at first but I left them in the truck with the windows down one night and it was foggy the next morning and when I went to use them to mow the lawn they would not work! But they where not wet but my windshield was wet on the inside so took them in house and they haven't worked since! So no I would not buy them again

So, I'm an ALL DAY EVERYDAY headphone wearer -- I'm obsessed with local radio and have to have am/fm -- at my work I walk between 5 buildings 12 hrs a day --- I RELY on headphones MAJOR to stay tuned in -- I've had 4 pairs of your other version now that I've been using for for sure 8 years now -- they're small ish and have tiny switches that have snapped off in each "death" of my current pair, so I'd get a new one -- well, my current one died, ☹️ again, this time due to the battery "closed hatch" snapping off -- I went onto Radio Shack.com to get another (I've had this latest pair for about 1yr, shortest lifespan yet) and saw the digital option àvailable -- I thought I'd try them vs the dial am/fm tuner -- I LOVE the digital tuner option, it does stay on channel better that the slider wheel, but I can NOT have giant padded ear things -- just for me personally I need the small earphone design -- so technically, not an actual product complaint, a personal preference & need complaint --

I like the headset I ordered, but now it's not working! I cannot get it to turn on when I press the "power" button. I've checked the batteries, which are O.K. So I can't figure out why the headset will not work. Any suggestions?

I love the fact that I can wear this while exercising in the pool. (I don't dunk my head - smile) I can do my leg and hip exercises to the radio station that is playing hits of the 60's and 70's.

The headphones were purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He walks everyday and listens to his tunes when he walks. He absolutely loves them and he said first time out they have great sound! I wanted to get him something that would make his walks more enjoyable! I scored big time with these! And they were definitely in my price range. Thank you

Worked fine if just used as headphones with no other noise around. Seal not snug enough around around ears to seal out outside noise when riding mower or tractor.

Terrible instructions so I never used it properly! When I called customer service I learned that the company was under new management, so they would not refund my money! Will never by again from Radio Shack.

I liked it, but I bought it for my wife and she didn't want it; so I sent it back. I would have kept it, but I really didn't need it. I have been a Radio Shack customer since the 1960s, so I am glad you're still in business. I would like to see more stores, however...

Home stereo quality sound BEST headphones by a mile. I have owned many through the years and loved every minute of it. Easy plug-in for phone or mp3. Not one was a bad purchase, as many were used for work and outdoors. Rugged and easy to use. Replacement ear pads are EASY to replace too.

Nice Product This radio was just what I was looking to use while on the treadmill. Used it for first time and it seems to be perfect. Does not bounce around while in use, and signal comes in quite clearly, even with a lot of other electronics around. Not "gadgety" for those who crave simplicity.

Great product This was exactly what I needed. The LED is quite a challenge, very small for theses old eyes. You may need a magnifying glass. Product is just what it said it would do, no surprises. I recommend it for those who need to work outside but, don’t use Bluetooth.

Good enuff for racing. Bought a set several years ago and it works like a charm for listening to NASCAR races at the tracks when none of the others I have did. Great for the price.

Nice headphones! These am/fm headphones work great! I like the fact that the buttons are all flush and nothing will accidentally hit and turn them off or turn the volume up like my last pair I had. The big problem I do have with them is that they are not noise canceling... I use gas powered tools at work and when I have these headphones on they do not block out any of the noise and I can know longer hear the radio I do like these headphones and I will just use them for different applications that don’t involve loud machinery.

Great reception! This is the best headphone set I have ever purchased. I, also, ordered the 3.5mm cord and connected the headphone to my Walkman cassette player. The sound is crystal clear.

Really fine headphone radio, with rich bass and adjustable left/right I really like these, they have rich bass, and excellent adjustment, for left and right; took me a little getting used to the hold button, which has to be switched off, to turn off, and to adjust the volume, but it is good, to limit the volume and preset it. Otherwise, pretty happy with them.

Listen and then watch Best way to watch a sports game on tv. The radio broadcast is usually 5 seconds ahead of the tv. I know what to look for in all the football games. Besides, aren’t home town announcers way better than national network announcers who are anxious to get to their next broadcast.

hand free radio This is the second one I have purchased. The other one is still working perfectly but is used by my husband when he cuts grass. I was initially looking for ear pad replacements. I did get new ear pads for his but ordered one for me to use in my shop while using my Scrollsaw. Great radio at a great price.

Headset I love my headset. Bought a BOSE for $349 and returned it as you have to use cords from another device. Paid $55 to purchase on-line and to my surprise, it has a better sound. Very Enjoyable Fast shipping, great price, well packaged and a great product! My husband absolutely loves his new headset. Prior to this one, he had a Walkman, was always getting tangled up with the cord. Headphones I am on my third set of these. They have good sound and no wires. The problem I have is they last about two years and then won’t turn on . Somewhere they must lose a connection. I wish they would last longer.

Stereo headphones I love my stereo headphones. You can program in up to 10 stations which is more than enough. A real plus is each side has a volume control. They are also very comfortable to wear.
