Introducing the RS Pro RS-8806S medical infrared (IR) digital thermometer gun, designed as a handheld device that can detect the body temperature by using a non-contact method of measurement.
This instrument can also measure surface temperature of objects using the Surface Temperature function and the non-invasive and contactless method of temperature measurement removes the issue of having to rely on using a physical contact on the person or surface to get a reading from it, making it ideal for use in environments like hospitals, other medical and healthcare environments and more.
This IR temperature detector provides fast sampling with high accuracy, making it an incredibly useful and versatile tool across a range of applications.
According to Mayo Clinic, temporal (forehead) body temperatures above 100.4 °F (38 °C) generally indicate a fever.
|Normal Temporal Temperature Range by Age|
|Age||Temp. °F||Temp. °C|
|0-2 years||97.5 to 100.4||36.4 to 38.0|
|3-10 years||97.0 to 100.0||36.1 to 37.8|
|11-65 years||96.6 to 99.7||35.9 to 37.6|
|>65 years||96.4 to 99.5||35.8 to 37.5|
|The temperature of the human body varies throughout the day. It can also be influenced by numerous external factors: age, sex, type and thickness of the skin.|
What's in the box: forehead IR thermometer, 2 AAA batteries, qualified certificate, user's guide, quick start guide, carrying bag.
|Infrared thermometers are instruments that measure the surface temperature of an object. They generally use a laser to point at the surface for the reading to be taken, whilst others include a temperature probe that measures the inside temperature of an object. Infrared thermometers are an essential device for individuals who need to measure the temperatures of something without physically touching the item. They can be found in medical and healthcare environments like hospitals, clinics and primary care units; HVAC; industrial processes and manufacturing; environmental testing; science and education.|
