An HD antenna, also referred to as an off-air antenna, is used to receive over-the-air high definition signals from local broadcast TV stations. This is different from the classic type of antennas, which are manufactured to only receive standard definition digital signals.

If you live in a major metropolitan area or suburb you will likely be able to get by with a fairly inexpensive indoor model. Installation
