December 21, 2009 Fort Worth, Texas â RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH) today announced a voluntary recall of Danbar Toysâ Knight Hawk 3D RC Helicopter. Consumers should immediately stop using the helicopter and return it to the nearest RadioShack store for a full refund.
Name of Product: Danbar Toysâ Knight Hawk 3D RC Helicopter
Units: Approximately 6,000 were purchased by consumers
Importer: RadioShack Corp., of Fort Worth, Texas
Hazard: The battery housing under the helicopter canopy poses a risk of fire during charging.
Incidents/Injuries: One incident was reported by a RadioShack store employee who stated that a demo unit caught fire while charging. No one was injured, and no damage was done to the store.
Description: This recall involves the Danbar Toys Knight Hawk 3D RC Helicopter, catalog number 600-0566 (also printed as 60-566).
Sold at: RadioShack stores nationwide, RadioShack dealer Franchise stores, and online at www.radioshack.com for about $60.
