when i first bought this car i went to the kitchen the car started to drift.if you don't know how to drift just take it slow and there is a turn you still go slow.so when you turn regular star turning the other way.

HOW DO U SWITCH THE TIRES?
Comments about RadioShack Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 1:10 RC Car:
It is fast - i will try rotating the tires to cut down on the spinout issue.
my 3 yr old is having a lot of trouble learning to control it.
i bought th e1600 battery with it and the charge has really lasted much longer.
tough on hard wood floors. better on paved driveway.
really wish it had a high/low gear changer.

the car have enough power to perform, just modify/switch the front and rear tire and you'll have the control that you want...

Looks like a car on ice. definitely a drift car.

i ended up taking this thing back the same day i got it. the plastic tires do nothing but spin out and if you can get it going to smallest turn sends the thing spinning out of control. dont waste your money!

This car has a lot of potential power if the vinyl tires in the back could be changed to rubber. I also removed the bumper (?) to improve looks. I've read other reviews about how other people switch the tires. How do you guys do that? It would be a great help if someone posted the procedure up.

When I first baught this car it used to burnout & do doughnuts all over the place so I looked the front and rear tires and I noticed that the rear tires were mostly the consisticy of plastic & the front tires where nice soft rubber. So I took off only the tire of the wheel & swiched them. This stopped the problem that I was having. Since then I used it every day from 1to16 hours a day using the quick charger very good prouduct i might add, & the motor finaly died of lock motor amps after driving it a whole 2 and a half years straight. I put about 750 miles which isint that bad for a raido control car if u think about it. Pritty good prouduct over all just wish it would have lasted longer than 2 and a half months.

this is a great car goes, fast, working headlights, which surprisingly don't effect the battery that much. it just gets no traction

It doesn't get too much traction but it's good out in the streets when you get the trick. My son got it for his birthday, it took him 3 days, now he's doing drifts in the street and getting maximum play time with the battery.
Comments about RadioShack Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 1:10 RC Car:
I know that this car doesn't have a lot of grip on the rear tires but you can change the two front tires with the two rear tires...now that's a lot of grip it takes off even faster and better. The turns are kind of wide but it really doesn't matter so if your car is not fast as it takes off just do what I did change the rear tires with the two front tires.

I baught this sports car 2 weeks ago thinking that I would get the usual false advertisement, but I was wrong. Infact this sports car was under advertised. I foun out the fiist second that I took off the tires let lose and went directly into a dounut. I also clocked this car at an amasing speed of 13.5 mph on my uncles radar gun. Tis car is way over powered. In my eyes that is a good thing.

This thing sucks. The days of radioshack making quality rc vehicles are over. Has lots of potential power but with the shacks poor choice of plastic rear tires, the thing is usless. Maybe it was cheaper to use plastic tires or maybe it makes it seem faster since all it does is do burnouts and spin in circles due to lack of traction. Weak

for one this i a really ice looking, cant go wrong with a mercedes slr, but out of the box, after you buy the additional batteries, its a decnt car can take a lot of abuse, jumps, crashes whatever, but the tires are not very good, in particular the rears, they are the har vinyl thats normally used for model cars, in return the vehicle is very unstable, does nothing but burnouts and doughnuts, which is fun but hard to control considering the low speed is...well, slow, not to mention very loud, but an easy fix to get some traction without having to buy anything other than what you have is to switch the fronts with the rears so the fronts, are now the vinyl, and the rears are now rubber, which will allow you more than enough traction, it takes off quick right off the line, and is actually nuch quicker and much more stable and easier to control, drifting is actually possible because you can actually pull out of it instead of going into a spin

The car is very fast and fun. The only real issue is the rear tires are a hard plastic which makes the car spin out very easily when turning. It's fun doing donuts on my carpet though. All in all its still fun but rubber tires would have made this much better instead of the plastic. This was most likely done so as not to wear out quickly cause of the power this thing does have.
