we got hooked on rc heli's at christmas, and went in afterward and got it on sale. the trim did not work out of the box and we cracked the main rotor within a few hours. I hope we can return, otherwise, money out the window. we also bought the avion plane on sale and my 6 year old loves that over the heli which he wanted more to begin with. A for effort, but fails to deliver.

What were you thinking??!!

when you decided to offer this as an INDOOR toy.The blade broke after 15 seconds when it hit the Christmas Tree. $19.95 + $10 shipping for blades!!The store manager would not acknowledge my presence and hid in his office!! Sounds like good executive material. The sales clerks were understanding. No refund or exchange/<3 days old.RS is going downhill,stick to flavor radios.

Much to the detriment of my dogs, I love this chopper. It is flimsy, but I assumed it would be just by looking at the thing. There is no way to get it any more durable while being light enough to get off the ground. My gf's dad has this exact chopper at his house, and I enjoyed it so much that I went and got my own. I'm an avid gamer, so controlling the thing was just like playing any other video game to me. It was VERY easy to get the hang of how it works. I still haven't broke the original rotors on mine or my future father-in-law's after multiple crashes with both. I'm sure I better go knock on some wood now! :) This is easier to control than other heli's I've tried. Start slow, and remember: you bought it to have fun. So proceed with care and do it. Your dogs may learn to "love it" as much as mine do.

I purchased this rc helicopter and it worked really good! I even crashed it severally times but it keeps going on strong. After 3 weeks i still have this rc and it works awesome. It works better than the mini havoc helis for sure!!!! Great product.

This is the easiest flying toy I've ever operated. The people who gave it a bad rating either got lemmons or are using it beyond its limitations. This is great indoors, I've had it since christmas now and have charged it 10 to 15 times and still have not broken it. I even brought it to work and flew it around the office.
Its great for the price!!

Actually the unit did pretty good from the get go. My older 13 yr old was able to fly instantly.
The rotor broke at one point but the unit performed better than the smaller Whirlwind 3000.
Found replacement parts at store which were on also on sale.

Good value for the price!!!!

This is a fun and easy (within it's limited controls) to fly heli...

BUT: (and these outweigh the price by many times)

The main rotors are made of "paper thin" plastic and will tear just as easily. The "protective ring around them isn't MUCH sturdier, but it's the ONLY thing that keeps it from being rendered USELESS after it's MAIDEN flight.

Still...Those are not constructed well enough to protect the flimsy main rotors. If you get more than a couple flights for your money, you're doing well. If you get 24 hours or more out of it, you're either INCREDIBLY talented as a micro heli pilot, OR you didn't fly it!

Well, the concept was great and I was having fun. Couple of wall hits because of lack of complete control and this unit was broken. Of course the replacement parts are twice the cost you would expect and Radioshack does not carry them. I was severely dissapointed and wished that I had tried something else. [$] for less than an hour really sucks.

Bought this for my husband - fun! We did break the propellers the first day by flying high outside and crashing on the deck. HOWEVER, inside, we crashed lots of times and never damaged it. I found it easy to fly next to many other more expensive choppers, and I am NOT coordinated! Recognize its limitations, and have fun! Replacement blades available from manufacturer for [$].

I found this helicopter to be one of the simplest ones to fly that we tested while visiting RadioShack. At first the helicopter can be intimidating, but once the trim is set properly with each flight it moves with precision. We crashed it atleast 5 times with no breakage. We also were able to land the helicopter from one elevation to another (base-to-base). The hardest part was learning to spin the tail to control the helicopter's direction. I would defintely recommend this to anyone looking for something fun to fly indoors.

3 and a half year old loves to fly this!

My son got this helicopter for his brothers birthday as a sympathy gift. He was flying a smaller air hog model that really sucked. This spiderman chopper is so much easier to fly. He loves it. I strongly recommend that you dont leave the store without the replacement blades. You will damage the originals very quickly. Ours has blue painters tape on them and it looks cool.

Bought this for my 6 yr old on his birthday. The battery lasted longer than it was suppose to, which was a great thing. However, the propellers broke within the first 2 hours of playing. So far, I have not been able to find replacement parts for it. For the price...definately not worth it.
