i was blown away by the stability and ease of flying. We had crashed a fast lane heli from toys r us the day before which DID NOT have any spare parts availability. Obviousy, the younger the flyer, the more broken rotors you will have with these small units, so we wanted something with replacement parts. My son quickly got the hang of it. It has coaxial rotors, so you dont get much forward motion, but it is rock solid stable after some trim adjustment and very responsive.
My main complaints are short flight time, but seems average for unit this size. Also, the IR controller seemed flaky compared to the one on the avion plane we got at the same time, but heck, this thing is fun...

This Thing is hard to control at first but then gets easy and fun all you have to do is add weights but the one problem is that you cant drop the power and then start up again the blades catch each other and the the helicopter falls to the ground.

I have never flown one of these and have always stopped and watched the kiosk guys in the mall fly their heli's and thought it would be fun. It was easy to get setup and running. Follow the instructions for spin and the thing will begin to hover nicely. Still have lots to learn with it. Remember that it is made to fly so ALL parts are lightweight. If you have a "heavy-handed" child, beware that something might break. I believe Radio Shack sells the replacement parts in the stores. I would recommend this heli to anyone. Happy flying!

I got mine and followed the instructions to make it work and all it does is spin!!! Terrible Product!!!!

Never would take off, just spin in circles on the floor. Tried adjustments in the manual, made it only worse.

When I was at radio shack and bought this,I was a little worried that it would be bad. When I first flew it I was amazzed. It flew nice and slow, stabel, and tough. It nearly hovers. It is made so it is always moving forard but it goes really slowly. The next day I added 1 of the rubber pads it comes with to help it go faster and it made a good speed improvement. It still was slow(which is what I wanted) but it went faster. The battery is the only downside because it takes around 20min charge for a 10min flight. This heli can fly in an office, bedroom, living room, or any where else in the house. Also it is NOT made for outdoors. THIS THING IS GREAT!!!
