when i needed a moisture sensor on an emergency basis one night to automate a pump in the middle of a flood, i was able to run down to RS, buy one of these, and rig it up in no time. Then when i had more leisure i was able to duplicate the circuit in a permanent setup.

I have been teaching electronics for twenty years and developed an on-line class for Homeschool Kids using the "Electronic Sensor Lab" which works GREAT! The kids in the class LOVE learning about electronics using this equipment. It is durable, reliable, and SOOOOOO MUCH FUN! The Electronic Sensor Lab is everything an educator needs in lab equipment. The equipment is so safe and simple to use; I feel comfortable even teaching students in Canada where there is a slight language barrier.

Thanks, Radio Shack, for restocking this item!

I have used this kit for a long time. My most favorite projects above all of the other projects is the electromagnetic field receiver circuit, you can use this for radio interference tracking and also natural radio projects. Also there is another good project called the light activated alarm project.
