My daughter got an A+ in Science class
By AUTOCADVerified Reviewer from Bradenton,Fl on 9/16/2008
Pros:
Effective Demonstration, Science fair A
Cons:
NEEDS bright sunlight
Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

VERY IMPORTANT ,needs DIRECT sunlight to work.

My daughter (and I) put this panel on a toy house with Hotwheels cars. Painted it so it looked nice.

The display alone was good. MOST science projects are....boring. (Watch the plants grow).
But most kids (and adults) like Hotwheels, and a diorama. So, she got an A+.

Next science project, were doing a bigger one.

Product Does not work
By Mike from Orlando, FL on 9/10/2008
Cons:
Does Not Work Well
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this for my son but the motor never worked. I measured the voltage from the cell @ 0.1 to 0.2 volts. It is a good idea but very cheaply and poorly executed. This is an extremely low quality product. When I bought mine the solar cell in the package behind mine was broken (in the hardened cell casing).

This device works but only when holding a strong lightbulb very close to it. Even strong sunlight does not provide enough energy for it to work.
