I bought this intercooler because i didnt want the three red rings of death. I am happy to say that the intercooler has kept my 360 cool enough to not have it overheat even after 12 hours of Gameplay, the only drawback is that sometimes it gets loud and i have to give it a quick squirt of wd-40 once a month.

Lights of death

I bought the intercooler followed the installation instructions, I love my 360, when it snaped on, I swore it sounded like I broke the intercooler. It worked fine for about three days. Then it started making the fans of my 360 move much faster than they're supposed too, so I shut my 360 off for a few hours. when I restarted my 360 the intercooler flipped out and sounded like an electric remote control car that flipped upside down stuck in reverse. When I saw the ring of death I emedietly shut it down, removed the intercooler, stuck it on my book shelf, and that's where it sits today. My 360 has absolutly no problems now that I removed the intercooler.

This divice burnt out on me, and no it dosnt cool your system that great, and your better off using a regular plug in fan to cool it. So I recommend one that dosnt plug in the back of your 360.

Worst product ever. Could not even use it once since it broke my 360 at the first install. It did reduce the internal temperature of my Xbox since it can no longer power up.

Nyko Intercooler 360
Nyko's Intercooler 360 is said to reduce the internal operating temperature of the 360 while prolonging the consoles lifespan (but it doesn't really at all). It snaps on to the Xbox 360 where the existing fans are. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing Xbox 360 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. It has been the subject of much criticism as some users have said that it scorches their consoles. Another majority of people (and press) claim it also "steals" electrical input from the console, but there has been sufficient proof. People have reported Nyko's Intercooler does cause the Xbox 360 to DIE, giving it the three red lights of death.
