This product is great. I travel alot and to be able to charge all my portable electronics in the car is such a treat. If you have cell phones, headsets, ipods, pocket pc and digital cameras to travel with, this product is a "must have". Hats off to Igo for creating such a superb product for people on the go.

This charger is going to save you money. Up front, 30 for the charger and 10 for each tip. So, if the charger lasts through another 2 phone upgrades/changes it has paid for itself. Mine certainly has. I also bought the splitter. Before my bf and I were having to use both outlets in thr truck and chargers were evrywhere. Now, we just use the one outlet one charging cord and we can charge our phones at the same time. I bought the tip for his phone and mine since they're different. Everytime we go places he steals it out of my car so, I bought myself a new one! Very handy. I also charge my Ipod. Love it! I have the LG shine and he has a moto razr. Works perfect for both.

I have had this device for three years and it is very inconsistent in working properly. I read the reviews here and found that I had similiar problems. Can anyone say recall, as far as I am concerned that should have been done by IGO. I have had many inconsistencies with this product, I have had one primary phone and I have had problems when I change the tip. With the same phone I returned the tip three times to Radio Shack and it still does not charge the phone. The one time I brought it back they said the reason I was experiencing the problem was because it was the wrong tip, so I got a different tip. That worked for a whole month and then I was back at square one. The problem is the phone either shuts off when I plug the tip in, or turns on or even better it does not charge at all(which is the what happens all the time). I think that the product is to cheap and once the tip bends in the slighest you get a short in the tip and or it does not make contact with the phones connectors.

I have had this charger now for almost 3 years and I couldn't be happier with it. It's nice not having to buy a new travel charger each time I get a new phone, it saves a lot of money.

I've had mine for almost as long as they been on the market. I have a Tupperware bowl full of tips. Great for charging almost anything. Never, never had one problem. Now I'm getting a 2nd one for my wife's truck so she will not steal mine! [$]

I noticed that there are several great comments, then some average and then some not so good, so I thought I'd add my experience with this product. I've had my charger for about 3 years, and over that time I've switched cell phones 3 times. My fiancee also uses this charger with her phone. So I have used 4 different tips with 4 different phones, and never had any trouble. We're currently only using two tips with our two most current phones. It works great. I've also had in plugged into several different vehicles, and I've never had a problem with it. I only wish there was some sort of trade in program so that over time as you accumulate more tips, you can send them back for credit towards new tips.

This product is so versatile in many ways. Not only can you move from car to house, you can also switch from charging your cell phone, bluetooth headset, mp3 player, and more with the simple switch of the adapter head. And when you get your next cell phone, all you need is a new adapter instead of another car charger. Plus, it looks really cool in your car at night with the glowing blue light!

I like to keep up with the lastest devices. I have owned this one for almost 2 years. I have bought more adapters for this thing than I can count. The splitter should allow for more than 2 devices.

worked great for a while...
By "jim the runner" from marathon, fl on 7/6/2007

worked really great in the beginning. But beware.... After I'd had it for a while, something went wrong with it, and it actually fried the operating system in my Ipod, and ruined the battery in my cell phone... so be careful!!

By cynthia l from austin texas on 6/20/2007

In theory this is the best idea yet. However, they have yet to make a tip that is compatible with the Treo 700p even though they market it as being compatible. They work for a couple of weeks then the plastic wears down and it's impossible to keep the phone/charger connected.

By Lee T from Bothell, Wa on 2/8/2007
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

I would like it even more if I could get a tip for my new cell after 3 months. It works great and it did a terrific job for my old cell but the R&D is slow on developing tips for new phones like the Nokia 6215i

By MUSTUDENT . from USA on 7/13/2006
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

I bought this adapter after going through 4 of those $10 car adapters you buy in the grocery store for my Motorola phone. I couldn't see buying another $10 adapter when this product was so high quality and could charge not only my phone, but any phone I decide to upgrade to in the future as well as my Ipod.
