This tip will power your notebook, but will not charge your battery. The first time you boot using this tip you'll be greeted by a BIOS warning telling you the power adapter can not be indentified so it will not charge the battery and may effect your performance. Thankfully, it also offers a way to disable this warning message from appearing again. That doesn't make this tip useless, but it does limit it's value unless you do own a Dell PA10 or PA12, as well as an iGo, and use this when you're docking elsewhere in and around your house or other locations with an available power outlet.
