I liked the setup for our wii but was very bummed out when the batteries died. I wish I would have purchased rechargeable batteries instead.

I love the fact that it uses a Lithium-Ion Battery instead of a Nickel Metal Hydrate, Lasts 2 or 3 times longer with more power and reliability then the Nickel Metal Hydrate Battery based Wii Recharge stations, and its goes for the same price!! Very nice product!!!

Head and shoulders better than the competing product which was so unreliable as to be a waste of money.

Go for Nyko
By Charles from MA on 2/18/2008
Pros:
Makes the wii-motes light, Plugs into Wii USB
Cons:
Inconsistent Performance, Wii must be on to use
Describe Yourself:

Primary use:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The Gigaware charger gets the job done, but the Nyko charger seems to be a much better deal. Because it does not charge when the Wii is powered down, I end up charging my Wii-motes through my laptop.

First time, both controllers re-charged within the six hours...afterwards, the re-charger did not work, I left the Wii console on over night and even thoguh I had the blue light indicating that the re-charging was complete, I still had the same battry level as before re-charging.

I really wished I read some of the reviews before buying this...

Works well
By Gamer from Ohio on 1/21/2008

It charges from the Wii while the Wii is off. Fits into the Zapper (some others do not), Fits (snugly) into the charging unit with the wrist straps in place. Lasts longer than I care to play the Wii at one time.

NOT GOOD
By Concerned from La Punete, CA on 1/11/2008
Pros:
Inconvinience
Cons:
Charges only if wii is on
Best Uses:
None

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The product is poorly designed. The sleeves need to be stripped off in order to fit the remote on the dock. It comes with a USB port to charge on the wii, but the remmotes only charge if the wii is powered on. This does not make sense, who wants to leave their wii on for 6 hours just to charge their remotes?

Only one remote charges

This item charged up fine the first time, but since then one battery does not charge properly. The blue light turns off after a time and the following morning both lights (blue) are off and the remote's charge seems mostly drained.

Also, you must remove skins to charge which can be annoying

bought it, charged that night. I went to use it the next morning and it only worked for about 10 minutes before the wii said the batteries were dead.

Best Uses:

I charge my two wii-motes with this....Since I don't want to keep my Wii on all the time to charge this, I have the USB plug, plugged into my ipod speaker system or laptop. Awesome item at great price. No more replacing those AA's 2x a week!

Not a good Buy

Dont have to Buy AA's
Cons:
Must Remove Wii Jaket, Must remove Wrist Strap

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Just bought the item tonight already broken. Nothing in the Included Directions says you have to remove the Wrist Strap in order to place the remote in the charger.

Plugs right into the Wii's USB ports.
