Really good power!!! But that is about it, they are hard to charge and do not hold to full mah's. Good value for the money though.
Use this product to power digital camcorders!
This battery cahrges in 15 minuts using my old hobbyco charger. It powers my sony moonitor rated at 3 amps 7.4 volts for 1 hour 10 minutes. Perfect, just as advertised. I plan on paralelling several batteries for longer duration.
i have not purchased this product, but would like to know if it would work well with an rc boat...
very powerful
this is a great battery i use it on my traxxas stampede xl5 rc truck and my front wheeles wont stay on the ground it is a really nice battery for a traxxas stampede
I bought three thinking they'd last me about 40 minutes each but they average well over an hour. After about three hours of driving the RC I only ended up using two of the batteries and I stopped before the second battery even lost its power. To add to it I attached working lights on the RC that get their power directly from the battery which means the battery should drain even quicker. Not so with these batteries. Compare the price of this 3300mAH battery with those sold at hobby shops (take your pick of any hobby shop) and its very likely you wont be able to beat this price. I charge my batteries with [...] "Ultra Fast Universal RC Charger" (Model: 2300433) and each battery gets completely charged in about 20 minutes. My weaker 1500mAH battery gets charged in a couple of hours using one of those A/C Adapter looking chargers. It'd probably take half a day to charge a 3300mAH in that slow charger.
These cells are among some of the best batteries I have ever used. I use these cells in an electric rc car that approaches speeds toward 60 mph, and although at that speed they drain quickly, they do hold a charge quite well. Others say these batteries take forever to charge, which is not true. If they are charged at a proper rate, which is 1.25C (125% of battery capacity- in this case, 4.125 Amps). There are much higher capacity cells than these, even though I have topped out the mAh rating on my cells as high as 3654 mAh (do not attempt, as overcharging may ruin your battery, and may cause fire!)
The only problems with these cells are the poor quality in the 16AWG wire, and the connector. Upon replacing the connector with something a little more high-end worthy (W.S. Deans Ultra), then this pack begins to show it's true capacity!
Toooooooooooooooooooooooo Long To Charge
This battery is an A+++. It made my 1200 mah battery look like a baby. It's a really good price for 3300 mah battery. A pro 3300 mah battery would cost about 50 to 90 dollars. Actually a pro used these kind of batterys in a car action R/C magazine I have. There great, reccomend for all r/c users!!!!
When these packs first came out, they were made out of the GP cells which were great packs to buy but now they changed the cells to generics which are nowhere as good as the GP 3300 cell packs. Don't buy this pack unless you see the GP3300 logo on the batteries themselves in the stores.
These are a great deal! RadioShack if you are reading this, keep selling these packs not the generic 3300 mah batteries! You have to sell what people want to run a business! It is the one thing thats makes me shop at radioshack! Happy R/Cing
I would just like to update on my previous review. Since that time, Radio Shack has changed the cells used in these battery packs. They are no longer the GP cells as pictured. They now use generic cells which are no where near as good as the GP cells that were used before. I just thought that I would let everyone know that. They have the same part number, but not the same cells!
Great battery pack! The cells are GP3300's which are name brand! For the price this is one steal of a deal! I will be buying more as the RC budget alows. While the packs construction isn't the best, it will be perfectly fine for bashers or even practice packs. For the price one could just make them into side-by-sides or something and still get a great deal! In short... A GREAT deal on GREAT cells!
I only charged it for 2.5hours and it lasted for 15min. after that i charged it for the longest it could be charged and it lasted for 30min.
the best battery pack ever and the best price. i put this in a really good car called the traxxas stampede and it runs really long.
they are the best battery i have ever had they run really long i have a traxxas stampede and the batterys i had where 2400 mah and they where not good and had no runing time.the 3300 mah are really good they have a more longer runing time
I love these packs. I race a pair of them in my Traxxas Rustler xl5. Goes over 35mph now. I changed the connectors to deans because the taminya ones had too much resistance. great price, good preformance.
Great pack for the price. GP 3300 cells are not cheap. But this pack is priced $10 lower than hobby sites for the same 6 cell pack. I agree the wire should be 14 ga. instead of 16 ga., but that should not keep you from buying the pack. 15 min run times in my high power twin 540 motor tamiya txt, which is very good. Around 20 min in my 30 mph tamiya sedan. These are a great buy!!!
Best value in R/C car hobby.
a bit expensive but very ideal for hobbyists with fast cars. my 25MPH car lasts over 20 mins on this. only takes 22 mins. to charge on the ultrafast charger. I have the green one wiht a thin but long wire. If I c the red 1 i'll buy that too
great packs, the ONLY complaint i have is the thickness if the wires, it comes with 16g wire and should be 14g wire!! long runtimes!!!
i love them
GP cells are known the best in R/C car hobby. Good runtime and discharge rate. Perfect for beginner to pro level racers. I have a few pack from Radio Shack and they work great.
battery hold a nice charge I can run it in my electric rc truck for at least 25 minutes.Price is good compared to pro racing batteries. I will purchase more
this is a better buy than the 3000 battery it runs a lot longer on a charge
