I have my computer, monitor, speakers, and printer into switchable plugs, and my router into the 'Always On' plug. I use this device because I can manually switch off power to select devices when not in use. It works as advertised. In-all it was well worth the price, and an improvement over standard surge protectors.
However, the plugs on the back are close together, so if any devices have a 'wall-wart' AC/DC converter, it will not go directly into the back without blocking other plugs. Also, it is designed so that it can be placed under a CRT monitor, so it is quite big (approx: W13"xD13"xH1.5"). It takes up too much area (width and depth) to put under an LCD, so I have it sideways on the floor next to my computer tower, which makes the buttons more difficult to reach. It is very light for its size, so there is probably quite a bit of air space inside that could be reduced to make it more compact.
All in all, I like the concept, and I feel that it was worth the money, I just wish that the design was a bit more refined.
