No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I am searching for another charger for my ipod nano. I got this one from Radio Shack. The plugs are flimsy & broke so that they will not charge anymore. The sturdiness off the independant legs were not good from the start. Of course I am no longer under warranty. Take it out of the box and look at the folding plug prongs that go in the outlet so that you can see they are easily breakable.
