Haven't got experience with other batteries - but this one only lasted 13 months as a back-up for my FIOS system. I'm going to try to find a cheaper alternative and see if it will last longer.

This is a great battery for many uses. The main reason for some of the poor reviews is because people don't understand that SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries have a lifespan of about 12-16 months due to the approximate 300 charge cycle maximum.

Probably only came with a one year warranty and it only lasted 16 months in my home alarm system. Others have lasted at least 3 years!
