purchased two stairlifts. each uses two batteries. after three years, changed batteries due to age. batteries worked great. installed radio shack 12v 7200ma batteries. first failed after 6 months, second failed after 10 months. last two didn't make it to a year. these batteries may be ok for a alarm back-up system. these batteries have the same ratings as the original batteries. do not use for stairlifts or wheel chairs. buy name brand

I purchased four batteries for two acorn stairlifts. The original batteries were three years old. [...] The first battery failed in six months, the second failed in 10 months. Now I have to travel half way across the us to replace batteries in my mothers stairlift. These batteries didn't last 12 months. Buy name brand batteries. If you are looking for batteries with very low power usage, these may work. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

I use this battery for my home security system backup power. It lasted about 3-1/2 years which is typical. It costs a lot less than what the alarm company wants.
