Traveled to Madrid, Spain for the first time. Used this for my laptop in Madrid, Barcelona, Montserrat and Avila. Worked perfectly in all cities.

Worked great in Germany; this fits better than some "universal" Europe adapters that have slightly thinner pins. However, I think it only fits right in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway; other European countries have slightly different outlets where it may not work, either the pins need to be slightly thinner, or the fat round body of this adapter won't fit in different shape recessed outlets. Thus, this shouldn't be sold as a "Universal Adapter for Continental Europe", because it only fits perfectly in some countries. If you're staying exclusively in one of the above countries, though, it's the best-fitting adapter.
I just came back from Europe. This product worked very well in Spain. I used it in several places, including hotels, restaurants, and offices. The round depressed outlet is the standard outlet used in Spain. They may be some very old buildings in which this adapter probably won't work.
Also, I went to Switzerland, but it was not surprise that I couldn't use it there, because on the package it said clearly "Does not fit electrical sockets in Italy and Switzerland".
Worked great throughout Germany & Austria. Only very minor potential issue was that I almost left it at the hotel a couple times since my power cord pulled out of the adapter easier than the plug coming out of the socket.
I was promised that this adapter would work in Spain....here I am with no such luck.
Wish I had bought this years ago! I've been joining two converters together to get inside the little round outlet depressions in European hotels. This solves the problem and works great!

The packaging states this adapter works in continental Europe with some exceptions that are listed. Italy is not listed as an exception. However, it does not work it Italy. The posts are too large for Italian outlets.
