The product worked well. Had no faults with it. One day it blew the fuse. Went back to store (franchise owned) to get replacement. They don't stock the fuse! Went to a corporate owned store. Guess what? They don't stock the fuse either! You can buy the item, but you have to have them order a replacement fuse. The clerk was gracious and offered to order it. Guess what? It's out of stock! Why sell a product if you can't make replacement parts available without having to order them? Especially a part so small.
I have no quarrel with the product itself, just the availability of replacement fuses.
We purchased product to use w/ DVD player on vacation. It quit working the first time we used it.

After the first use, the jack (female, internal) that holds one prong of the ac cord fell out of the board. I took it apart, and had to solder it back in. Worked ok after that.
If you are going to sell this product you should sell replacemnet fuses. Went on vacation and item blew a fuses in the vehicle while traveling.
used it for like a week then it it stopped working, then i tried it in my other car busted the fuses in my two car. if it's broken i don't but i would never use it again. It's warm everytime you use it.
I use this to charge my lenmar battery as well as my archos 605. i dont notice hissing noise primarly because i use a mobile surge surpressor with emi and rfi surpression.

Worked well with my ipod, i did not experience the same hissing noise. it will run my ipod and AC phone charger... but it won't handle a dell laptop, or anything else. get the bigger one for all of that jazz.
I bought it mainly for long trips and to listen to my ipod. When I used it with ipod (2nd gen.), you can hear the hissing/static noice through the music. It makes listening music painful.
