No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The tip often came detached from the charger. Otherwise, it worked well. The PROBLEM is that the USB mini tip for the Nuvi 350 bent and broke TOO EASILY! THEN there is NO REPLACEMENT AVAILABLE AT ALL! Even through RS' replacement parts dept! You have no choice but to buy the whole thing again for 1 TIP! Spend a few extra bucks and get the Original Garmin Charger.

I was travelling back from Atlantic City and my TomTom original car charger stopped working. The salesperson in Radio Shack suggested this to bail me out. Not only did it do the trick, but what I like about it is that the cable is longer than the Tom Tom original. Plus, I have six connectors in all. Works great!!!

Price is a big benefit to have this multi mode-car charger for Garmin 200W. About half the price compared to other OEMs [$]. Also, ready for other brends, so, it is the best bet if you need an additional car charger for any NAV.Other good part is that it doesn't get into "Sync" mode when you use it, and it must be implemented 17.4K on the tip.
