I have the original blue psyc the new psyc just does not have the same sound as the old model the sold at[...] for 100 dollars about 3 years ago. And its battery life is not the same either i got longer life from my old psyc running on 1AA battery for almost a month using it everyday for 3 hours at least. This only runs about 30 hours on 2AA batteries compared to about 70 hours on the old one. But over all its about the same feauture wise except for the screen is not support ID3 Tags like the old one did and it is smaller. This cd player only plays atrac3plus not the atrac just like the original.

I have had this product for now three years and it still works the same way it did the first day: perfect sound with bass boost, no skipping, and lightweight. I listen to music alot so it is understandable for the amount of batteries i go through with this, but don't get me wrong, battery life is pretty good. Probably the best cd player out there as of right now.

Just because ipods are popular, dosen't mean Sony went down. Sony will always be the best. THE HELL with new age technology! Some owners of this "new age" technology don't even have a decent education! Cd players will stick around, and would not leave America or any other country any time soon!

If you are looking for a CD Player that plays ATRAC format burned Disks DO NOT! buy this player I purchessed it under the guise that the page said that it plays ATRAC disk but it doesn't I thought it was me but after creating 5 Burned ATRAC disks none worked but to my surprise it played standard disks fine. This is a standard CD Player do not let the fact that the page say Plays ATRAC fool you. It Doesn't. My best bet is if you want a Atrac player and live in Cowlitz County in Washington State go to [...] in Longview they have good ATRAC players.

Love it, I am going to get at least one more to put away for safe keeping. The most half hour radio shows I have on one disc is 256 and it plays them all. I have dropped mine (I kid you not)atleast 15/20 times without it as much as skipping a word, "of course this is a carpeted floor." Still, I turned the "G" feature off and found no trade off....you actually get longer battery life.

Only thing I wish it had was a little onboard memory and a USB port, what do ya say?

Simple to use and very good for its price range. I down-rated it for its hard to read controls (I had to guess to figure out how to make it louder), but it does function very well.
