Great cd player. Loved the portability. Then the fun began.
Radio was unable to tune in my favourite stations.
On humid days, the cd player often wouldn't. After 6 months the cd player stopped completely -- and me without an extended warranty !

I tried using the CD player and it would not work. I exchanged it and the CD player works now, but not the cassette player. I wish I had read the reviews of this product before I purchased, as numerous other people have expressed the same issues with this boombox. I do have to say that Radio Shack has been very gracious and not given me any problems with exchanging this item. When I take it back this time, I will not be getting the same boombox.

So far I like this boom box. I need one for while I'm getting ready in the morning and probably sun bathing. I like this as it is light, easy to use without my glasses, and actually the sound isn't bad for the price. The bass boost is very noticable and the radio has good reception. There is distortion at the higher volumn but what do you expect for the price. Also when you stop the CD and start it again it starts over from the beginning. All in all I'm pretty happy.

Too bad the cassette mechinism doesn't work! Yet, that said; the other features are top notch. Tried two units, both had bad cassette performance. If they would instal a better cassette system, then you would have quite a radio. Buck Muncie, Ind.

Easy to use

The radio tunes by a dial but displays in a digital screen. It can be hard to get it to stay exactly on the frequency you need. Sounds OK
