This item was very easy to install, and took away the need to keep several FM frequencies preprogrammed due to travelling through multiple radio markets. I did have to get the GM adapters for the antenna, but they were easily found at a local auto parts store.
This item does not work on GM vehicles with the mini plug as I found out during my installation on this product to my 1999 Chevy Silverado.
Mt Siruis radio was worthless until I installed this even when I could get reception I would always have hissing. This thing works perfect. [...]

I can't begin to understand how a self-described tech-savvy person can describe this product as difficult to install. Plug into Sirius unit, plug your car's antenna into the relay module, plug relay into back of car stereo. Works flawlessly. Unless the internal relay fails (have never seen it happen) it's either feeding 100% Sirius feed to the radio (when it's on) or 100% am/fm feed (when the Sirius is off). The only better way to wire sat radio is to hard wire via stereo plug to RCA or a male-male 3.5mm jack to aux input on aftermarket radio. OR buy the internal unit and access from your head unit if your radio is Sirius ready. Main note to consider...save some headaches and money from buying adapters and what not and just replace your stock radio with a decent aftermarket one and never look back. your stock GM or ford radio is the only paperweight I see.

I purchased and installed a new Stratus 4 this week. The satellite radio worked fine, but the reception on my radio was horrible. I read about this device, and after the purchase of two antenna adapters, it made a HUGE difference. It sounds like commercial radio now; clear, no static. Highly recommended; I hated shelling out the extra [$], but it was worth it. Be aware, though, that GM vehicles will probably require 2 antenna adapters. [...]

Just bought it for my 2005 Silvarado but need to find an adapter for it. I will update if I can find one but would have been better if it came with adapters for common antennas.
Does eliminate static 100% in my opinion. I was to the point of not using my Sirius at all due to all the static. I have several of these adapters. However the ends on the adapter does not fit every car radio. I tried to plug it into an 06 Malibu and does not fit. Does fit my Jeep and Caravan. I will have to locate a GM antenna adapter to make it work in the Malibu.

Got worse reception than with out the unit in place. Back to the drawing board, since Sirius had to cut back on the FM transmission, I was hoping to find a fix to the excessive static.

This item is a must have if you plan on using SIRIUS in your car. If you do not have it and travel any distance in your car you will be changing the station in your car and on your SIRIUS device every couple of mins or every time you go to another area. [...]. You will have to take your car radio out and plug the device in the back of the car but once that is completed this will give you the most worry free easy to use device which will make using your SIRIUS radio in your care very enjoyable. No more missing songs or funny comments from Stern because of static or other FM stations giving you a problem. Im not a tec savy person and was able to install the item pretty easily.
