I use this product in my girlfriends car because she does not have a scanner. It works really well, but the sound is not good. You really have to turn it up all the way to hear the calls coming over. It recieves well in the car and in my house when i listen to it there.

This is an AWESOME Scanner. The guy who wrote the review two reviews down (Derby, CT on 4/14/2008) obviously thinks this scanner is only for nascar users! SO NOT TRUE! This sweet gadget lets me listen in on Police, Ambulance, Fire, Hospital, Security, and oh yes even Nascar transmissions! Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if I could get ALIEN transmissions! I'd definitely recommend this scanner to anyone and everyone who is looking for a good quality scanner. Well worth the extra penny!

This scanner is a solid little performer. I use it for police/fire and ems calls. It has very good reception and audio. It fits right in your pocket and also has preprogrammed frequencies so it's easier to find what you want. I love the blue color also.
