Great scanner, however beware I was looking for a APCO 25 Capable scanner. When I contacted Radio Shack they were unaware if it was able to be used with a Motorola SmartZone II system (Analog and Digital). This scanner will NOT be able to pickup digital and is NOT APCO 25 Capable.

Other than this, it is a very good scanner to own and once you figure out how the programming is done not to difficult to operate.

This is the best scanner I have ever owned. Yes, it is not easy to program but I called Uniden and Paul Opitz-product designer gave me a quick way to program this scanner. I did just what he told me to do and it is done. I got CTCSS but haven't had time to do ALPHA tagging. What is really cool is that each frequency can have its own delay time. The audio is unreal and the sensitiviy is outstanding and I can only use the supplied antenna as I live in a rental building. This is NOT a scanner for beginers. The volume control is great, has click stops too. You also have a signal strength meter and many more features. If you don't need digitla, then get this one.

This scanner is just outstanding. It is not an easy scanner to program. I called Uniden and got help w/the programing. I decided to use it as a base first, rather then install in the car. The controls feel great. This will go down as the best scanner ever made, period.
