I got stuck with this phone because I needed a phone badly. Your store only displays Radio Shack phone which I perhaps they are all useless. Where on earth are these phones manufactured?

If you stay within 5 ft. of the base you can get good reception. Dont try to use the ext. in another room, cuz you cant hear on it and it will drop your call.

An excellent value. Has lots of features for the price. Range is rather limited, but I use the handsets close to the base so it is not an issue for me. Easy to use remote dial-in to hear messages while away from home.

I dont know what all the negatives are about, Works well all over the house, even upstairs and the base downstairs. I think people should READ the instructions, and follow them, before badmouthing a product. About 5 minutes into the charging, got first call, worked flawlessly. Easy to set up. Register both handsets to the base unit and good to go. Answer machine works great too. Does what its suppose to, at a fraction of what some systems cost.

I will not prefer this to a friend or a relative. This phone caller id had stopped working after like a week of use. It goes staticy inside/outdoors.It also shuts off after a certin amount of minutes. The other handset charger doesn't charge at all! I wouldn't buy this item.

I see negative reviews, which were probably a result of not reading the directions about plugging in the battery and/or not charging the unit as described in the directions. Unit works great at all locations on my medium size lot. Works better than my Linksys wireless for my computer. For the price this is a Great unit(s).

bought 2 different sets for family members, because of the price. product would be great if it wasn't for the real bad audio quality you get if you step 4 feet from the base; don't even try having walls between the base and the receiver.

You would think a 5.8 GHz phone would have a range of more than 20 feet. When I walk around my house the signal fades in and out unless I am right next to the base station. This makes the second handset practically useless.

GOOD DEAL,,, i got this on Friday day after thanksgiving on sale for [$] buckaroos....it worth the [$] with the extra handset.read the directions first as the batteries are not connected to the phone and must plug into the phones before charging.. but this is instructed on the quick quide. happy overall.

I've had many cordless phones before, but the packaging of this one is the worst. The battery was inserted into its compartment, but the connector was not inserted into its socket... I only noticed this after attempting a 20-hour first charge. If they had no intention of connecting the battery, they should not have packed it into its compartment! I cannot imagine any other cordless or mobile phone packaged thus.

I will follow through with another review when I get to use it. But this is a very bad start :-(

Got this phone for my home. One great feature is you can tell when someone is on the other handset by pressing the talk button. Good sound quality. The only thing I would have added is a number pad that lights up and it would be perfect!

This was definitely a great buy. Setup was extremely easy and both handsets immediately began to receive calls. After charging the handsets overnight, I was very impressed with the clarity of the calls made/received. I was only able to find one ringtone, but this is not a concern for me.

Unbelievably bad!

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Within 10 feet of base, good sound quality; within 10-20 feet of base, sounds like you are standing in a heavy wind; after more than 20 feet from base the handset disconnects from base.

Changing channels does *not* help.
