The phone is perfect for my 3 bedroom apartment. I can also purchase mulitple phones of the same model and create intercom-like system with my other family members and can talk 3 way with someone on the direct phone connection. The only problem is that I am trying to figure out if I can use my 2 separate lines with 2 separate mailboxes, with same phone number.

The whole phone industry has really dropped 'the ball' on 2 Line phones - this is 2008! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, I have 15 year old 2 line phones I want to retire, but there is NOTHING close to their quality and range on the market at all! I have to find something to use while I send these back to GE. It could work for purely personal use if range isn't an issue.

The max setting on the ...
By Roger D from Connecticut on 1/24/2007
Pros:
Easy to use

The max setting on the volume control is just barely OK for hearing people. If there is any commotion on your end of the phone you must go somewhere else to hear the caller on the other end. That's a major problem for both my wife and I. I am trying to contact someone to see if there are other ways to boost the volume. I have some concern about the range of the phone and be sure NOT to locate the base unit in your computer room. This will effect the range and clarity. Our home is 3500 sq ft and the remote phones are on each of our three floors with the base in the kitchen. We had to find good locations so that we could get reception issues resolved. The rest of the features are solid.
