No, I would not recommend this to a friend
After setting the phone up properly, charging it fully, etc., I went to use it in our small home. Guess what? After changing all 34 channels, THERE WAS LIMITED SIGNAL! It was static-a-plenty and when I did get a signal, there was a beeping interference and more static to follow. NO-I was not near an in use microwave, etc., I was just sitting down in a neutral part of the house. Then, I decided to walk around the home, changing channels, hoping to find signal. FORGET IT. This Piece of Junk is now packaged up and ready for a mail in return. JUNK! JUNK! JUNK!
