I bought this phone for the headset jack.

Had to return first phone after using for several months because the headset jack starting acting up to the point where no one could hear me.

Got a second phone and used it for a week and then the headset jack went out.

Was promptly given a refund card. Will not buy this phone again for use with a headset but I will continue to buy from Radio Shack.

Most troublesome item is the so-called speed dial. I programmed the numbers desired. When I push the speed dial button it is silent for a couple of seconds before starting the auto dial

This is a very easy phone to use. I love the mute button, headset button, the ringer off option for either late night work or napping baby times. I like that it has a headset jack that works well with my headset. I bought both at Radio Shack and I must say that I truly got a great deal especially when I first got started on little money. No static, no problems, no headaches. Affordable and easy!

I bought this phone for my home office and was excited at first because it was a speakerphone/cid with a nice design. And then, disappointment. It couldn't be mounted and when I would use the speakerphone, it had the high pitch ringing on the speaker even when it was just dialing a number.

Almost a great phone!

Cons:
Poor Sound Quality
Best Uses:
Long Talks

Bottom Line:

I bought this phone primarily for its mute button feature and the 2.5mm headset jack. When you press the mute button, you hear a "click" on the line. The last phone I bought did this same thing, and I was hoping this phone would be different. It's really annoying, that click sound, because the party on the other line can hear it, too. Also, another problem I encountered was that the phone sometimes didn't immediately respond when I press a number. For instance, I was dialing '8', and it didn't do anything, so I pressed it again, and nothing, so I pressed it once more, then the phone finally "caught up" and then three 8's finally displayed on the phone. The display isn't bad, but it isn't great.

Nearly a Nice Phone
By little ag from Utah on 7/26/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable Handset, Nice Features
Cons:
Display is not lightrd
Best Uses:
Well lighted environment
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented, Value Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This unit was designed to mount on a desk or wall, however no wall mount bracket is supplied or available.

The LCD display is not illuminated so caller ID is only usable in a well lighted environment. This unit is not a good choice if you might use it at night.

NOT a wall phone
By [...] jack from New York, NY on 7/14/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable Handset
Cons:
Can't hang on wall
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal

strangely, this has no adapter nor holes on the back of the unit that would allow it to hang on a wall- mount phone jack. additionally, other than the ring volume, it looks like you can't change the ring tone type...although maybe i missed that in the instructions.
