Does what I need
By techlady from Santa Monia, California on 8/29/2008
Pros:
Comfortable Handset, Durable, Nice Features
Best Uses:
High Call Volume
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Business
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This phone works well. The feature buttons, such as Flash, are pretty clear. It has survived some knocking around on my desk. I also hit the numbers pretty hard.
I use it with a headset, plugged into the handset plug, instead of the handset, because I often type while on the phone. It doesn't have a button to pick up or hang up calls, which would be very useful with a headset. I have to replace the handset after each call, kind of a pain.

Disappointing---All Around
By Omar from Corning, New York on 7/19/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable Handset, Nice Features
Cons:
Not Durable
Best Uses:
Large buttons, Large call ID display
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

After a year and a half, the display disappeared and the dial tone became static. Had a Radio Shack clerk put in fresh batteries, but no change. When he found out it was out of warranty, he walked away. Disappointing quality and customer relations----no more Radio Shack products for me.

Do not understand concerns about receiver not staying on base. A little hook on base can be reversed to provide tight contact for handset when phone is mounted on wall. Or even, I suppose, when situated on a desk, if you want it that way.

By Iva M from Fayetteville on 4/10/2007

This is a great phone for senior citizens. My parents don't need thier glasses to dial the number, and they can hear the other persons conversation. The caller ID is large enough for them to read with out glasses, and it lights up so you don't need a flash light to see who is calling

By Pete W from New York on 10/17/2006

Agree with Paul--receiver is VERY easily dislodged. Also does not have call waiting, although tool bar in screen shows this. This was the second phone--ringer did not work on first one. Never again.

This is the worst phone I've ever used! Handset constantly and I mean constantly falls off of the base! Speaker quality is very poor, all around I will never buy again!

Loses Memory numbers when ...
By Chuck C from St Louis, MO on 2/7/2006
Pros:
Good features

Loses Memory numbers when changing batteries. We had this mounted as a wall unit and when placing the handset in the cradle to hang up it continually fell (poor design)and ultimately caused the speaker in the handset to become unaudible to those we spoke with. This was very disappointing.
