When the power goes out it's the only phone that works. I've had mine 3 years and it has never failed. For a no nonsence phone it's great. Big numbers easy to see, but they're not lighted. Other than that I got my moneys worth.

This is a poorly-made telephone.

Purchased this phone as a secondary telephone. Unfortunately, I waited for a while to hook it up, and the warranty date had passed. The dialing buttons never did work. I gave the phone to a friend who needed one, and she informed me that she could not dial out on it, because the buttons were defective. I strongly urge all phone customers to bypass this model. I tried an upgraded similar phone, which also failed quickly in the same way.

I wanted an inexpensive phone for bedside use, with a lighted dial and large numbers so I could use it in the dark without my glasses.

This phone would meet my needs but callers complain of poor transmit audio on my part.

The sidetone, that part of your voice fed back into your earpiece so you don't think your ear is plugged, sounds too loud and tinny.

The phone did not adequately filter out the DSL signal from my internet service. I had some success by installing TWO in-line filters rather than the one which is normally required.

And the last problem is, when terminating a call and placing the phone back in the cradle, a severe feedback is heard until the phone goes "on-hook".

I wouldn't recommend this phone for even minimal use; an AT&T Trimline phone would be a better choice. This phone is made by Presidian.

It seems like a lot of people expect to get top-of-the-line features and quality for bottom-of-the-line price. But in reality, $10 gets you a basic phone. Sure, it doesn't have any high-tech features, and the sound quality could be a little better, but it serves its purpose well as a bedroom phone. I've had this phone for almost 2 years and it works; For [$], what else can you ask for?

Terrible, if you have DSL. Otherwise, it's OK, except that it falls out of the cradle very easily.
