On most speaker-phones, the microphone is on the surface of the phone. On this model, the microphone is underneath the phone, so no one can hear us.

we were needing a phone where our own employees were unable to dial out during work hours, except from our office for emergencies. This phone which was kept at the front desk is now locked and although our employees maybe recent the fact that they can't call whomever they want at any time, they also understand now how their personal phone calls hindered our day to day operations, and how much time it frees up for them to do their jobs!

Would not buy again because of the lock feature which activates on it's own sometime. You have to send it back to Texas to unlock it. How expesive and inconveniant
