I've had this radio for about 4-5 years and it's been in a rapair shop twice...Now, the channel selector light is wearing out and transmitter signal is bad..I guess it's time for me to try another brand/model...I'll say this is a good average radio but sorry, I will not have this model again...

[...]Now that that's out of the way. The radio works awsome, I got it for my birthday. Very straight foward configuration, and easy to tune with the built in SWR meter. With out the tune up (by a professional) it was putting out 11 watts, which is exceptionally high. With the tune up it was putting out a little over 30 watts. If you want more watt power, you're going to have to buy a more expenxive radio. As for me and my house, this works fine. Oh and I would recommend a 102" steal whip antenna (with a dome mount), radio shack has one for a good deal.[...]
