incoming messages are fuzzy and unintelligable, messages are cut off or dropped in the middle of same

I returned the first one thinking it was defective. The second is the same - doesn't work properly. The second does sound better than the first, but still not working. Keeps clearing my recorded message, says memory full - it's not. I have cleared and reset (unplugged, etc...) and re-recorded multiple times. No one can leave a message because machine thinks it is full, when there is nothing on it at all. I will return this one also. Piece of junk, and I have missed some very important messages due to this.
