Broke after 3 weeks use and the unit was shipped for replacement ten weeks ago still being fobbed off with excuses [...] Radio Shack Manager doesn't want to help. Never buy this unit or use Radio Shack again. BE WARNED. It has cost me more in shipping and calls than the unit cost.

Stay Away

I know.. its cheap, and you really want a flat screen.. but stay away from this model, its a very dissapointing product. The refurb model lasted me exactly 4 months, and only carries a 3 month warranty... and the repairs are going to cost a MINIMUM of [$], could be as much as [$]according to the Scott suggested repair center. Other issues are the lack of adjustable aspect ratio, it just stretches the normal screen, which makes the picture very distorted, none of the usual zoom options to correct the picture. Also, no programming codes for the remote, so you will have to buy a universal that can "learn" by face to face transfer... command by command.. very frustrating experience.

Awful TV Mono/Stereo keeps changing. Unit failed after two months [...] Scott's warranty/repair absolutely appalling. Scott agreed to replace but still waiting after over 2 months and numerous calls, no told 4-6 weeks for replacement. They told us to ship back to them which cost $65 so in home repair warranty no good!DO NOT BUY ANY SCOTT PRODUCTZS

SOUND BOARD IS TERRIBLE
By Greg from Orlando on 11/28/2007
How long have you owned it:
One-to-three months
Pros:
Fast Setup, Good Connection Options, Good Resolution
Cons:
Bad Interface, Sound
Describe Yourself:
Tech Savvy

SOUND BOARD IS TERRIBLE. SWITCHES FROM MONO/STEREO HARD TO LISTEN TO WHEN IT SWITCHES.

SCOTT AVISED IT IS A CABLE COMPANY INCOMPATABILITY ISSUE NOT A TV ISSUE.

They would not send out a sevice tech to fix said it is not the tv's problem. Sugested putting a cable box between the unit to fix sound.

Well then why did they add a cable connection? If it was not going to work.

I [...]decided to buy one of these refurbished tvs. It works just like a new one would; No dead pixels, all inputs work, includes remote (even with batteries still wrapped) and manual. The only thing you dont get is the original box, just a standard brown box. For the price you cant beat it.
