I've had two for over 7 years. Great addition for expanding connection for Dish communications. Other than having to reset on a couple of occasions due to possible power losses, I'm extremely pleased. A little pricey but it beats the alternatives.
i use this product so i can use a phone in my room and it works good except that i dont get caller i.d. on my phone
I have used this system to put a phone in my barn
200 feet from the house. It has worked well for three years. Have had to reset it occasionally after a power outage.
This is a worthless product. It didn't work out of the box and Radio Shack would only give me a store credit. I wanted my money back. I feel ripped off by the product and Radio Shack. If I had seen these reviews first, I never would have bought it. [...]
Easy to setup. Use it for dish connection for over 2 years now and works excellent. No problems.
I love this system. Only problem is that I need one more unit for the third phone and it doesn't look as if you make it. I have had no problem with caller ID on the phones - it works fine.
I used this product for a telephone internet connection (dial up) and it worked just fine. Just a little on the pricey side...
Works well for us. We've had it for a few years now.
I wish I would have read these comments before I went and bought a setup that does not work out of the box.
Very disappointing - bad product.
The reset button never worked on the unit. Do not buy this product. Radio Shack would not take back product after 90 days with the originial packaging and receipt. I did not need a store credit, but was given one anyway. I just wanted my money back. I bought another wireless system from the satellite store and it has a one year warranty. Radio Shack should warranty this product for at least a year because you have to have a satellite sytem for at least a year when you sign up with Dish or Directv.
Didn't work. What a pain.
This thing doesn't work. Got one from store, didn't work on Sattelite dish, enchanged it, the new one didn't work either. DON'T BY THIS
USELESS... worked once then funked out. Reset it more than 5 times, taking it back to the store.
Product does not work like stated and does not work with fax and dsl lines
Worked well for two Dish Network receivers in my mome for 2 years. Only one time did I have to reset the units due to a storm.
This thing is useless. it only worked if base unit was in the same room as the remote unit.
This is great, it satisfied all my needs.
System worked for one month. Then failed. Returned to store for check up, seemed to work OK. Returned home and connected for use with Dish Network. Shows" not connected" again. Performed all setups re the manual a number of times. All I get is static on both remotes. About to give up
This is a good product for Dish/Direct TV/Tivo use. Not good for Internet or Vontage use. Price is a bit high compared to others but very very easy to use.
This product is wonderful. Works like a charm.
So far it been pretty worthless. I bought it to connect to my Dish TV receiver. I ran a long phone line direct from my wall to the Dish unit and it worked fine. When I used the wireless jack, it failed the Dish TV test...so back it goes!
This is the third unit that appears to have not worked right out of the box. The first one was an RCA which is the same as the Radio Shack model. The second two from Radio Shack didn't work either.
Set up for my TiVo. Worked about 4 times. Now, nothing at all.
Hooked it up last night, so far the line noise is so bad as to be almost useless, we'll see how it shakes out.
Easy to install and works well in providing a dial tone to another house location without having to run a physical phone wire. What's not documented is that the receiving unit is NOT "Caller ID" capable. This means that if you plan to plug a "Caller ID" capable phone into the receiving unit, it won't work. You'll be able to receve and make calls, but you won't have "Caller ID" on incoming calls. I wouldn't have bought this unit if I knew this.
