Good buy if you want the frame with little control over its display. A photo editor to set up the photos on storage media very helpful. No real control of pictures to be displayed; User's Guide offers no help as to how to browse photos; no indication of frame memory size in specifications.
I tested all the other frames of similar size and price range. This was among only a few that would show all forms of digital photos; direct from a camera, edited ones, scanned photos, camera phone photos. Many others would not. it would also show all photos no matter what orientation they were and no matter what aspect ratio. No special editing required like some other frames. And the picture quality was OK for the money.
Now, the Bad Part. It suddenly quit after less than a year and the store return policy is for 3 months. Seems like a defective product to me.
Pictures do not fill up the screen unless they are re-formatted to 16:9 leaving a much smaller viewable picture.
Other frames of similar cost will automatically reformat.
Other frames of similar cost offer more features.
So it's Christmas Eve and I go to load up the frame with images for a gift in the morning when I notice my hi-res pictures look awful on the frame. After trying to resize the images on my computer to be the right aspect ratio so that they look better, I turn on the frame to find half of the LCD back with with lines through it and there is nothing I can do to fix it! Don't waste our money folks this frame ain't wourth it.

Means black bars are on sides (not full screen) There is no mention of this. If you can shoot in panaramic mode it's suppose to be full screen. My camera does not have that feature. Picture, Design and ease of use great!! Can hold 14 pics w/ out purchase of extra memory.

I bought four of these for father's day and everyone loves them. I purchased another brand at a different store & it was much harder to use and ended up returning it. [...] Very fun to keep on the desk at work.

Does not live up to claim of reading 2 GB memory card. Would not even read all photos on a 1 GB card. Otherwise the display was clear and no other problems.

Bad frame - do not waste your money or more importantly your time buying this poor quality product.

I got one for Mothers Day and love it. I have not had any problems and it's easy to use - for us technology challenged "older" persons.

Bought 1 and returned it because the screen turned blue and did not show pictures..the next one didn't even work for 5 minutes and the screen had lines across it and it turned blue as well! Wanted to give it as a graduation gift for my fiance and put pictures on it already but couldn't even get to wrapping it! I will spend more money on one that will hopefully work!

Very slow with Sony memory stick cards (5MP). SD works good, but quality is not flawless. Screen is very wide. Could be good for panoramic cameras, but it leaves bars on most of my pictures.

I have looked at several digital picture frames. This one is pretty good and very good for the money. Pros: Flat black frame fits in just about anywhere. Easy to operate, pictures in slideshow mode can display for upto 30 seconds and you don't have the tacky "transitions" between pics. Resolution was better than I thought it would be. Believe me I have seen worse. Cons: 16x9 format is kind of odd for photos, but I crop them down and have quickly adjusted. Black frame is ok, but I've seen nicer. Conclusion: If you don't want to pop for the Kodak or Phillips expensive models, this is a good value.

At only 480x234 resolution I felt the quality was poor. The pictures seemed distorted and not anywhere near the clarity advertised on the box.

My wife was nagging me about putting pictures from our wedding in my office. Rather than have a few frames scattered haphazzardly or a clunky book, I decided to upload our pictures to a SD media card and get a digital frame. This one is excellent. Only complaint is that if you are not looking dead on at the frame, the picture can be grainy from side views. However, people constant stop in my office and watch the pictures flow by. We were able to our wedding, the reception and our honeymoon on a 2GB card. If you sat through the whole thing it would take over an hour to watch. Great conversation piece. Why wedding photographers don't offer this as a product is a mystery to me.

Love it! Solved all my gift-giving problems this year for Grandmoms and families. Loaded family pix on 256mb cards and have the best gift ever!

I bought one of these and a Panasonic camera at a Radioshack store for my fiance's mom. It totally got me in good with her because she absolutely loves it! Its so easy to use which is perfect because she's not tech savvy. The little chocolate smear on our baby's face was so clear & cute. I went out and got three more, one for me and two for X-mas presents!
