Mine (I've had it awhile) has been modified to use 4 AA Ni-Mh Cells, which will run it for about an hour.
(This trick works because the Ni-Mh Cells run about 1.2 volts, do the math.)
Otherwise, you are looking to use Lithium AAA (expensive) and good for maybe 15 minutes.
A good cheap camera if you are willing to do the modifications to run the thing.
And using RS parts.
Good for the price recommends it for people who does not want to spend too much money on a camcoder or camera Bad point no easy zoom on camcoder function
This was really GREAT sure it don't work due to the light but i got it to work very good.
this camera was the worst product i ever bought. do not waste your money, even for the cheap price. picture is bad, battery dies in 2mins!!!!
If you want the battery to last don't use regular alkaline, you need the higher capacity digital product batteries, lithium or rechargable. This is true of any camera.

Bought this camera last year to go to Houston, TX to get pics. Didn't work at all. Took back to Silver City, NM store, they would not take it back w/o box, they did give me another, which didn't work either. Please do not buy!

This has to be the worst digital,vid/still/web camera I have ever purchased. Poor picture and vid quality. Flash is way too bright and you will need a searchlight to take indoor vids. Turned on evry light in the house and opened all window blinds during strong daylihgt and still not enough light to shoot indoor vids. This camera is not good even for a childs toy. Returned to store for refund.

ANYONE WHO IS PLANNING TO GET THIS CAMERA DO NOT GET IT. fIRST THE BATTERY RUNS OUT IN LIKE 2 MINUTES AND THE FLASH DOES NOT WORK! SECOND IT TAKES HORRIBLE PICTURES WITCH ARE ALL DARK AND BLURRY, BECAUSE IT IS HARD TO HOLD. LAST MINE BROKE FOR NO REASON! DO NOT GET THIS CAMERS

I thought that this camera would be cool for the price. But the color is HORRIBLE!!! Even with all the lights on, it is black. batteries run out in like 5-10 minutes. I would NEVER reccomend this to ANYONE!!!

Small, light-weight camera with multi functions. Pics are dark unless taken in full sunlight and batteries run out far to quickly. No way to charge to wall outlet, don't like that but "ok" camera.
ughh horrible mega pixels for regular camera!
The battery goes out in like 20 minutes, but all in all it's awesome because it's so spacious and it's just perfect.
Terrible!!! I bought it for my son thinking it would be fun for an 11 year old. The batteries dont last long enough for him to actually use it and what he has managed to capture is too dark to see. Package should read flood lights and generator required.
this camera is pretty good. there are Wayyy better cameras out there. although this is my first camera therefore i cannot compare it to others very well. this price for it is worth it. no more, yet could be less. overall its a good camera. the only things i dislike about it is that the batteries do not last very long with the flash on, so constantly you'd be replacing batteries. and it doesnt adjust to light as others said previously. if it is dark in the environment, it is dark in the photo showing spots. i just hate that!
What good is a camcorder that's batteries last less than 5 minutes. Also very hard to hold still because it's so awkward to hold. No optical view finder so when the sun washes the screen out there's no way to aim it.
Nice camera here. I am a little disappointed in the battery time. Nice gifts for kids, like me though :P
I'm very unhappy with this thing. It eats batteries, in 2 minutes w/ the flash on. You have to have flood lights just to get one decent picture and if the battery dies, you lose all pictures, even with an SD Card.... They better replace or exchange this camera.... Or, give me my money back!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!
This product should say on the front does not work unless you have spot lights on at all times. Plus it didnt have the installation cd with package, which it said it was included! not really happy, oh yes the battery last about 2 minn. total!
I just got this camera and it is great, exept the battery lasts like 5 min. with flash.
this was a good buy for the price but i didnt get the rebate I was promise and the b attery last about 5 minutes so i found myself always replacing batteries.

Even though my daughter loves it, I have a lot of reservations but none for the value. Iknew what I was getting but after the other thiongs I will need I think my daughter will get this one and I will work a liottle overtime and get trhe one I really want. She can have a go with it.
This was the worst thing i have every gotten at Radio Shack. First of all the battery lasts for maybe 30 minuetes with out using the flash and 5 min. while using it. Also the pictures and avi is to dark

Pros: Easy to operate (in video mode) Cons: AVI only, no tripod mount(so why are you selling tripods?), battery life(will require lithium). For what I use it for, it is sufficient.
We took this camera with us to Europe. It was great!
This is my first camera probably the last i will ever have because of the price it was so expensive but it was worth it. You may have to hit a couple of times but its still good. (no matter the price) NOTHING BUT THE BEST FOR ME
I like it a lot.But the screen is not turnable.And it doesen't adjust to the light.But overall it is pretty good.:D
This camara has no features, is made of plastic and doesn't adjust to the light very well
