I have read some of the reviews by some of the others on this site, and i would like to make some things clear. You can change the battery yourself, there are instructions all over the internet that allow you to do so (everything with a rechargeable battery will need a replacement at some time). iTunes software in my opinion is very easy and one of the best music management programs out there. I love my iPod and plan on buying the new one shortly!

Be warned when the battery dies at about 18 months it costs [$] to have it replaced. This has to be done by apple

I've loaded video clips and EVERY CD I own on this thing and there's still more room on the 30GB drive! Sound is quite good, screen is easy to see, controls are easy to use and very intuitive. I wish I could search by genre and then choose an album instead of just by the song. The iTunes software that comes with it seems rather slow, doesn't always work the way it seems like it should, sometimes fails to perform the given task without telling you why. Basically, I love the iPod and hate the iTunes software. I HIGHLY recommend getting a good quality case to protect it. I did and mine still looks like new after three years.

I just bought mine (never toolate to own one). I'm not a tech person but i found it Easy to load music from my existing collection using itunes. I downloaded itunes from apple.com and from there it just gets easier. To load some of my movies/dvds, I bought and downloaded a software i found from the internet to copy my movies into the ipod. For me transferring stuff manually from itunes to ipod works better in that way I don't lose stuff that's in the ipod already. I originally set it at automatic transfer and each time I connect my ipod to the computer the contents of my ipod has been altered eg. movies,songs missing. it's better to manage the transfers manually, and it's very easy anyway.

this a great product for the cost i and think it is the best mp3 player on the market

this supposedto be a device for you to watch video but the screen is tiny. Zune is alot better

this is simply the best product for the price. my father has just bought me one and i have no regretts its a bit of money but i still say its worth it get the 30g

I bought it yesterday and is great it's gots a lot of storage, good sound quality, great usage controls is light weight and extra slim

I love my 30g iPod...I got it for Christmas and now I always have it with me...My mom will try to talk to me and I'll have it up full blast and just blockk out everything she's saying. And its great for when your having a bad day because my mom can't yell at me for having my stereo up too loud..but now that I have my iHome she's been yelling at me a little more telling me to turn it down...but yeah don't get the little nano...the 30G is wayyyy better!!

I love my new 30gb. I can take it anywhere....I did purchase additional ac adapter and a car charger because the battery goes quicly when watching a movie. I take it everywhere I go, I watch it on my tv at home, using a red and white cable for movies ( sold separately) it's Awesome. I love it!

THIS THING IS REALLY AWESOME! I LOVE IT! ITS SO GREAT FOR LONG FEILD TRIPS AND STUFF....I WOULD GET A BATTERY PACK UPGRADE THOUGH....THE BATTERY KINDA GIVES EASLY SO IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO CHARGE FOR A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.

I am so in love with this thing, it is powerful and very easy to carry, my dad bought an Portable DVR by Archos for me for my last b'day that was a year ago that thing is so crappy since i got the black 30g ipod, it is very very powerfull cant wait until i get the speakers. The 30g ipod is the way to go

This thing is so sick. I have envied over all of my friends and their ipods for years. It's a great upgrade from Nano to Video, like what I did. This thing works best with the sound proof headphones and the leather cases with the soft fabric inside. It took me forever to get up to my Nanos capacity, so this will be with whoever buys it for a while. Five stars well deserved!

It's great last a long time sounds great its small yet it has a screen with video and the video's have great look kinda like a LCD tv...i like it

this ipod is the best it is so easy to use so easy man is super easy to put music in it but the bad thing is if you dont have a case its gonna get so scratch, i recommend a case for it but overall its the best thing in the world

Love It! Movies, Photos, Games, Music, Music Vidios, It is all in there!! It also has a 4 number combonation skreen lock. This is pure entertainment!!!

Excellent value for the buck, but if you have a large music library or have a growing one, you'll easily outgrow this one. I'm already in the market for the 80g and I've had the 30g for only 3 months. As far as support, the Apple Forums are a good way to get help with most issues. As far as quality music and videos go, it all depends on 'HOW' its all saved or downloaded. Fortunately, iTunes allows you to customize the rates... the higher the rate, the better the quality (and the better it sounds on the iPod). The same goes for your videos. "Two Thumbs Up"

I have had my 30 gig video since October, and it is amazing. It can take drops and still work great. I will admit that I have trouble getting it to turn off sometimes. Other than that, it is simply amazing.

I like the fact that it is compact, but beacuse it's so large it runs the battery down. Great if you love videos and movies.

Buy this one! But make sure to get a good case for it the ipod might scratch if you don?t.

i totally love this thing. i used to have a shuffle but the volume was messed up. so i got this baby for my b-day. the sound is awsome like being in a movie theatre i have 238 songs and 3 movies ( get rich or die tryin', 8 Mile, Recess schools out)

I think that 30gb Ipod is the place to start! If you have been wanting an Ipod, The 30gb is the way to go because those new ones, Ipod nano they can only hold about 1,000 songs and you can't sotre movies, videos, or anything like that! So the nano kinda tore people to shreds when it was the size of a credit card but people! the 30 gb, or 80gb old Ipods are still the best by far!

best. device. ever. ya dig? Since it's now cheaper...why not buy it?
