THE tv worked fine for 11 months. It decided to quit when I most needed it. It was working and I left the room for a telephone call and when I returned the screen was black. The On/Off function was still working. I could still turn the TV on and Off as indicated by the changing color of the power light. No sound no picture, no anything.Warranty stinks.6 weeks later still waiting on replacement.

after 7 month stop working and and the waranty not good is 3 months and i steel waiting for the repair

Worked great for 3 months then screen turned green.
AKAI had repairman pick it up who has since refused to return emails or phone calls. Have not seen repairman since. That was 6 weeks ago. AKAI says they will resolve the issue sometime in the next 6 weeks. I will never buy an AKAI product agin!

this is unacceptable and this product should be recalled. Every comment I read about all AKAI products are the same. After a certain amount of months it stops working properly.

This tv was fine for about 5 months. Then the volume and channel movement stopped working. We asked AKAI what we needed to do. They first said they had 2 weeks to find a repair person in our area then it went to 30 days. They also said we could ship to California at our expense. (so much for a warranty on a 5 month old TV.

Expensive lesson - do not buy their brand unless you get all specifics regarding warranty.
