This shredder handles most letters as long as there isn't any heavy paperwork like brochures inside!I basically have to feed one letter at a time for this machine to work.This shredder jams quite easily and wouldn't recommend it to anyone! My advise is to skip this shredder and look for another!

I use this at home to shred confidential papers. I'm impatient, but usually don't try 8 sheets at a time. Works great on 4 or 5 at a time. I've had it for a couple of years now, and it has a very strong shredding capacity and is fast.

All I wanted was a shredder to get rid of junkmail, (i.e. pre-approved credit solicitations, pamphlets, old bank statements, etc...) This shredder was advertised as capable of shredding 8 sheets of paper, yet, it can't handle more than 3 sheets of paper at a time.
I'm very disappointed. My first manual typewriter was a Royal; I bought it in 1979 and it's probably still in my mother's attic. If I could find a replacement ink ribbon, I could still use it. That was an excellent machine.
If this shredder's performance is the quality I can expect from Royal's products now, then I won't be purchasing any of your other items, no matter how reasonably priced.
