Man Great Sound For Live Shows And For Club N House Parties
I use these as monitoring speakers in my room for home studio use, and as low end speakers for live gigs. In my room I just have them hooked up to a home theater system, no need for ridiculous volume in the house, and that way its all in stereo unlike my old poweramp for shows. as for shows, 100w with the right tweeking is good enough for about any show you'd need to put together. Overall, they are good speakers. if you don't like them, just return them.

spend a few more bucks and get Peavey, JBL, QSC, EV, or Yamaha. These things are very poor, piezo mids and tweeters sound VERY harsh, very cheap cabnets, cheap all the way around. I always laugh at anyone using these speakers. thes would look beautiful in a dumpster or on the side of the road waiting for the garbage man to pick them up and take them where they belong. these speakers are not worth the box they are packaged in.
I read the reviews and said why not?
I have a Peavey 420 watt mixer, and these will handle that without any distortion. I have ran Bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals all with thundering lows and shimmering highs.
Since my mixer is set up for monitors i'm going to get the smaller 75 watters
to run as monitors. I havn't tried running these at full volume but I can tell you this with my amp at half volume that's 105 watts going to each speaker my neighbors hear me loud and clear. The only thing I can suggest is
speaker stands if you gig out a lot,the screens are metal but flimsy. Also make sure to get a minnimum 16 gauge speaker wire.
I bought 1 to try then added the second later

The is my Peavey board I use to run them
I bought one of these after reading many of the reviews around the internet. 45/50 people enjoy this product and I am one of those people. If you have a good amp to send a signal to the PA speaker you will be pleased with the sound that this speaker offers. Its got great power and it costs next to nothing for it's size. I use it for replaying mixes that I have created for my band. It is a great speaker.
I bought 2 of these for my pa system. I use them to project my drum machine and vocalist from a 700 watt amp. They suit my purpose, but would have to say you need a massive amp to be able to power them. At 150 watts, you just start to get the bass. It may be because of the design, but you definately need some power to enjoy these to the fullest. I've overdriven them quite a bit and have found that they have minimal distortion. Perfect for vocals.
These speakers are pretty sweet. They pack a masive punch when it comes to bass, and earsplitting highs. I have a 600 watt powered mixer for them and it makes those 15s bounce!
The only problem with that is when the bass gets loud there this buzzing comin out of the one orf the tweeter like air is seeping through.
Its not very notacable unless ur right in front of the speaker. And i would recommend putting the maximum wattage(300)through them.
this thing is the best i have used so far
I have a set of thease set up in my room and they are better than any others I have herd they are a must have!!!
These speakers are an insult to Audio Theory in every way. They were clearly designed by someone with no concept of sound waves and patters, or they would know that putting piezo and horn tweeters in a horizontal array causes cancellation and very harsh bad highs. They would have also known that 15" drivers do not produce good midrange. If you are looking to buy speakers, do your homework and if you are on a tight budget at least look into some low end yamahas or JBLs. As a DJ and a pro audio designer, I chuckle to myself everytime I see a speakers with a red lined driver because I know exactly what it is and exactly how horrible it will sound. If you don't believe me, buy it. Then, compare it to a quality PA speaker and hope that you can return it.
i really have to say that i was quite surprised.
i have a pair of these speakers hooked up to my integra 6.4 in a 10x10 bedroom in the basement. the walls windows and doors shake.
i'm sure every house will be a bit different but my results are purley a phenomenon for the price.
the only thing i don't like about these speakers is how power picky they seem to be, but with a decent system and a little tuning, their a really nice pair of beginner speakers.
these speakers really sound the best under an eq i use 31 band for these speakers. for the price you cant go wrong. radio shack has done a great job for the money.
They are unexpensive but not that great. I was looking for something better. But the price is fair.
These speakers are the best. When I just started as a pro sound technician, I needed something I could carry on the road to setup for gigs. I thought I would need to replace them after a few years but they are 3 years old and sound as good as they did on day one. I have pumped as much as 450 Watts from each one of my pair before, and no damage. Excellent bass, awesome crossover, and the best freq. response range!!!!!! :)
I had to add of light weighters to go with my Big Daddy House bangers, and these speakers did the job!! Kudos to Tandy, keep up the good work, and you'll have a whole new following for sure.
I have been DJing for 35 years and these speakres are the best value I have ever found. I use two of these as my mains and two dimension 2000;s as my subs. I push it all with a Peavey 600watt amp and have never had it up over 50%. (by that time the db level is painful.) Great speakers, I would recommend them to any user.
I've been using two of these speakers wired to a Pyle Pro pt2400 amp to DJ wedding receptions for months and the sound and volume are great. I've even been asked to turn it down.
I play in a solo act and use this as a PA speaker. It sounds great, doesn't weigh alot, and didn't cost me much. Thumbs up on this one, guys.
these are a great set of speakers. i bought them skeptically, thinking that for the price, i wouldn't get much quality. and boy was i wrong. i'm lifting these speakers with a 630 watt yamaha amp. and i am yet to fry them. i would recommend these to anyone who is looking for some quality sound.

it was ok i used it as starting DJing speakers but i don't beleve they put out much bass or sound
i bought 4 and tried frying 2 and keeping 2 but i cannot even fry 1 with a 1,800 watt PA Amp on high! you should get them! [...]
These speakers are amazing they have great bass, they're loud, and in the case of last nights party the whole block heard it.(I can tell from the tickets i got)I would recommend these speakers to any beginner DJ.Or a pro Ive worked with a yamahe system but these speakers are more then comparable.
i would reacomed this to any person who love to experince a concert at ther home. en sted of going to {Seattle Key Areana}for a concert. all you do is plug these spakers to an ordanary stereo systeam.and enjoy your favoret music and if i may say so. Desturbe you anoing nabors.

This is one of the best full range speakers I've heard. I'm very surprised at the sound quality, but in a good way. Highs and mids carry clearly and the bass in amazing for a package like this.
To top this off I've only tested the two I own with 80 watts (40 each) of power which is denying them each 110 of the 150 RMS watts. In reality, I haven't heard half of the power in these monsters and it still sounds great...and loud. I can't wait to get a pro amp on these!
This is a great buy! You can't beat the price. All you need is power and an audio source. I will be adding an E/Q for control of the sound and some 15 or 18 inch subs to get the even lower bass, but above that the Radio Shack 150 2-way has you covered!
If you're on a budget, 2 of these are the way to go. If you have money to throw around, get 4 or more (in multiples of 2) because they look great stacked and you won't go broke putting enough power to them!

These speakers are great they put out great bass and sound great.Ihave 2 of them connected to a radio shack 250 watt amp in bridge mono. Amp is then connected to a Radio shack Stereo Mixer with 3 Channels and Equalizer.
These speakers are great for the price. It puts out really excellent bass. I am going to purchase another one!
I just bought a set of these speakers and they are GREAT! They have a clear sound to them all the time.I only have 70 watts going in to them and they are loud! I am very happy with the way they performan. So if your looking to get a set of speakers these are the ones to get!!!
I have been using these in a small lounge for over 2 years. I moved to a bigger place and just added 2 more and another amp. The sound quality is excellent and the construction is top notch! I even had one fall off of it's stand (4feet) and it only slightly compressed one corner...that says alot!!
These speakers ROCK!! I started my own discotheque with 4 of these speakers... let me tell you, the sound on them is great. Great smooth Bass reflex. I love these speakers, for the price, they rock. I always recommend these.
This 150-watt 2-Way Monitor Speaker out-performs more than any other speaker I have. With 2 tweeters, 1 horn driver, and a huge 15'' woofer; you can be sure it will rock your house or where ever you put it. For how loud you put the volume up, this speaker produces impressive crystal clear sound with amazing bass. I reccomend purchasing a pair, cranking them up and enjoy!
