No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Long irritating delay between pushing talk button and beep that allows talker to talk. Makes conversation with person at door nearly impossible. Offputting to person standing at door pushing button and hearing nothing.
Extra remote (main floor location) can be used with intercom talk button, but does not play the doorbell sound, so I can only hear doorbell in upstairs office. Unless, of course, I missed that adjustable feature in the complicated instructions.

visitors had trouble using it. It stopped working completely after a few months.
