I have being purchasing them since 1999 more or less, 9 years now never had maintainance I don't need it, all I do is clean the lens once every time I remember...!!![...], all the new kits and makes they are terrible, I have try them all is not worth your money and they get burn very easily, maybe they are more beautiful, but the old ones work extraordinary.....!!!By the way they have acepted, warm and high hot tempartures, rain and bad weather, some have going to the Amazon and to properties by the beach, we need this type of products because we use them overseas and we don't have the way to bring it back to have it change because something happened and is not working; I have use Radio Shack since I was 12 years old now I am 64 and I will never change Radio Shack or theire products....!!!

I bought this for home security because there are problems in the evening in my neighborhood. I am VERY disappointed that the night vision is nonexistent! I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow!

Night vision doesnot work Radioshack manager has had nothing but complaints about this system, not what you would expect from radioshack

I have tried adding a motion detected spotlight, but once the sun goes down, so does the picture.

This equiptment is great during daylight hours However for a security system at night your left in the dark. The advertisements are very mis leading. Sometimes there is a problem viewing two cameras. One becomes very fuzzy. Also there is no control that allows you to adjust how fast or how slow the cameras switch back and forth. Factory set time gets you dizzy while watching the monitor, it switches way to fast.

This system is ok but the night vision is useless (just when you need it most). There is no info in the box on how to hook it up to anything to make it record happenings. Even the radioshack manager said she still has not figured it out. If you are not home to watch the monitor, you are just out of luck if something happens.

The Daytime and well lite area uses are great. It has audible alarm to let you know there is movement. The only drawback is to be expected. Night vision is always tricky and this is no exception. The infrared LED light is not bright enough. It could use a couple to better light the area in the dark.

These cameras are great for daytime. Once you turn off the lights the visibility is next to none. Plus, they come with plenty of cord so you can run the cameras thru your basement or crawl space and back up to your tv. However, the cord going from the switch box to the tv is only about 5 or 6 ft long and if you plan on using the intercom technology you may need to invest in a longer cord.
