Very easy installation. Very reliable. It is a basic door alarm that rings loudly whenever the door is opened. It actually has multi-purposes as it can alert when an intruder opens the door. A neighbor also has the same alarm on her door which has proved to be very useful when her husband (who is suffering from Altzheimer's) opens the door to leave.

It is usable whether home or away. Instant and delay modes work as designed. Key switch is a bit hard to use if not mounted in a well lit area. Key is far more secure than a PIN based alarm. There is no clear way to get a replacement or additional key from the manufacturer.

I am a Foster Parent. I have kiddo's that went to sneak out the door or windows. I have this alarm on the doors and there windows. It may stop them from going out but it does wake you up. I have 4 of them. VERY GOOD AND WORTH THE MONEY

I bought this for my grandmother who is 78 and lives by her self. The key is difficult for her to get in becasue you have to line the notches up nd i even have diffuclty at times. The led light went out the day i installed the system which is a down fall cause you mite turn it on and it not even be working, with out the light you will not know.

It was really easy to install and is easy to understand/use. My only negative comment is that 1 out of 5 times, the red light doesn't come on to let me know that it will alarm. This makes me question how reliable it is. I feel safe in my apartment, but I wanted something to give me more reassurance...I can say that it is easier for me to sleep at night. However, if the next 1 time out of 5 happens to be an intruder...you get my drift.

Siren is very loud which I like but after being installed for one day the green or red light feature has failed. The green light should be on when activated and red light is tell you if tripped while away.

This alarm is exactly what this product should be -- simple and reliable. I have been using these alarms for over 5 years and they are the best value on the market.

The keyed switch is much more secure than the keypad models, and the installation is tamper resistant. The batteries are secured in the housing, so people cannot just take them out to stop the alarm.

If you are looking for a door or window alarm that is suitable for securing an entrance from older children or adults, this is the one to get.
