If you are a pro DJ and you want a backup mixer for your setup and don't want to spend a lot of money then get this one. They had a better one and it was black but they cut it off.

RadioShack did a great work on this mixer. This mixer is the best out there. The equalizer is easy to use and it has the looks. If you are a DJ buy yourself one. The bad news is it can break easily.

This unit has been in my home studio for a couple of years now and I love it! It puts out great, clean sound on my recordings. It does take up some space, but it's quality sound makes up for that day in and day out.

By Alex H from Missouri on 1/22/2007
Pros:
Easy to use, Good Value

Being a DJ I deal with lots of gear. This mixer has blinding blue lights which is very distracting. The mixer also wouldn't work for me after about 3 months of light use. Replaced crossfader and no problems since. Overall it's easy to use but needs individual line gain. It's very hard to mix at a consistent level. It does however have excellent audio producing ability. Very clear and no hum. The eq works well with cheaper speakers but not for pro audio. Lastly it sounds like I am bashing this mixer, but it is tough, easy to use and at the price is a very very good product. The only reason I bought it was because my $600 mixer bit the dust the night before and I was in a pinch. I still use this mixer every once in a while, but mainly for backup. I know it'll never fail. Good Product for the money.

By Joe V from Brick, NJ on 7/4/2006
Pros:
Easy to use, Good performance, Good Value, Reliable

I have 15 years experience in the mobile DJ business and this is by far the best mixer I ever owned. I recently bought a Numark DM 1200 & returned it because of excessive "bleed" through the channels. Even with the master & line levels all the way down, you can still hear music through the speakers. The Numark mixer is noisier while the Radio Shack mixer is virtually silent. This RS mixer has alot of great features and for the price, you cannot beat it. A second mic channel would be great and maybe perhaps a different color other than silver. I would definitely recommend this RS mixer to anyone from an aspiring bedroom DJ to seasoned entertainers.
