By far the best travel alarm clock I've found for the money. I was shopping around for a cheap battery powered alarm clock, and this was both the cheapest and most feature-packed of any I found. I haven't used it extensively yet so I can't judge to its reliability, but it seems to have everything I want anymore.
The people who are complaining about it not having white noise all night should realize it's BATTERY POWERED, and the fact that it doesn't run all night is probably because being BATTERY POWERED, running all night would drain the life very very quickly.
The sound machine with an easy to use travel clock and alarm is the best. Gave one to my son, who travels world wide and he gives it a thumbs up. Too bad it is discontinued!!!!
This alarm is incredible. The battery life is also impressive. I installed batteries 5 months ago and they are still going strong. This alarm's sound effects are great. They really help you fall asleep fast.

This product is useless because it won't run continuously all night. It shuts itself off automatically!! So, when it goes off, you're jolted awake by the sudden change (loss) of sound. How sad because I've been looking for a nice, small unit like this for years! If only the designer hadn't been in a stupor when creating a sleeping aid that wakes people up. Why do stupid design errors like this happen?

It took time to figure out how to turn the sound off after selecting a particular one. After figuring it out, I now completely love using this alarm clock!!!! I only wish the store had the box/paperwork to go along with the alarm clock. Unfortunately they had thrown it out or misplaced it!!!!! Next time I will try to products straight from the website. The clock is worth purchasing!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought one for traveling overseas and this little clock is fantastic, my daughter is using right now. i will have to buy myself another one for upcomming travel. The nature sounds are great as well as the temperature reading. I love it.
I bought this to use as a white noise machine for sleeping ALL NIGHT. This only allows 15, 30, or 45 minutes of white noise, rather than running continuously ALL NIGHT. As a light sleeper, this would never work for me. I was going to give it to my mother as a birthday gift, but it is useless for this purpose because of the shortened time that the white noise is allowed to run. MAKE ONE THAT RUNS ALL NIGHT AND YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT PRODUCT. Otherwise, it is worthless.
Although I concur with the reviewer who found it rather disappointing to find that this wonderful lil' alarm clock couldn't wake us up with the sounds of nature, I still find this an excellent alarm and will purchase at least four more for family & friends. As yet another reviewer mentioned, the temp readings and the white noise options are excellent features for those of us in households with children and wherever there may be sounds we need to block out. I think this alarm is an excellent purchase, and particularly so, since I travel often to conferences and abroad.
The size is perfect for travel. I'm good with just white noise. However, I want that white noise to run all night long.That is a big issue for us.
This is the best thing we've bought for our infant son! He falls asleep to the babbling brook, we put it where ever he's sleeping if we're away from home and he sleeps soundly. And so much cheaper than white noise makers designed specifically for babies - it does the exact same thing! Plus the thermometer is a nice bonus to be sure his room temp is just right. I'm buying 2 more for friends' babies.
Poorly designed. You can only fall asleep to one of the nature sounds. You can't wake up to one, unlike models sold by most other companies. Be sure you realize this before buying this in error! It would have been so easy to design a more versatile clock that you have to wonder why it wasn't done this way.
