This is my second one, first quit working after 3 years. Needs periodic spider & web removal from eye to prevent false alarms. Tremendous battery life on sensor (over a year). Survived 3 hurricanes! I did have to angle it to avoid picking up my neighbors driveway. A nice addition to the farm.

I have multiple Reporter produts I bought from radioshack. love this alert unit. better than others I have had. no false alarms. battery last forever. love mute for one hour function. great job guys

I had this unit for about a year with the original batteries,works great. I am adding another unit,this works better than the dogs sleeping on the couch.

Bought 2 units and after one full year have not had any problems at all. Will add 2 more very soon, BUT what I liked the most about this product is that MADE IN THE USA sign on it.

Bought this to warn of vehicles coming up driveway at house. Mounted sensor on tree facing drive 100 ft from den on same side as sensor in brick home.
Signal could not be rec'd. Changed sensor to closer location but now false readings because of sunlight or ? Changed settings to less sensitive then would not always sense auto coming up drive! Maybe I have a bad unit?

Just got my 2nd one. Purchased the 1st one last year from RS store. It works great. Added the 2nd one to my back yard near the bedroom. Falsed when had it pointing into the sun. moved it a bit and it works perfect. I recommend adding the 2nd sensor to get coverage in the back of the house. Highly recommend this product. By the way, the batteries are still working in the oroginal unit!.

When it works, it's priceless. It is susceptible to false beeps. Batteries need to be strong. Spiders definitely will set it off. After two years it failed to be waterproof and it had a catastrophic board failure. I will buy another sensor and add some silicone to it myself to insure no water leaks. Until something better comes along, I must have one of these.

had an actual prowler early this morning. thought it was a cat, but wasn't. what would I have done without the sensor! I am getting 3 more to go around the rest of my house.

Fantastic. Thius is my 3rd sensor. The other two are installed at the front and back of the house. This one is for the side yard. When I bought the Reporter at first I got false alarms. Then read the manual! The sun was shining streight into it. Moved it and all works amazing. Zero false alarms. I feel so safe with this productaround my home. Very cool

Works very well. A great safety tool to know who or rather when someone is near the door/garage Very few false alarms , usually our cat Detector is wireless so can be hidden in a tree or eave. I would recommend to anyone who has a house where the street door is not visible from indoors

After 6 months my Reporter stopped working. Technical support never returned my e-mail. Will not buy again and will not recommend to anyone.

Happy with product. Manual fails to tell user that frequent beeping may be due to low battery in transmitter. Spiders may also cause problem. I depend on the unit--more reliable than the dog.

Works very well. Takes the place of our dog who's not alive any more.

The product works as advertised. I am very pleased. If I keep the transmitter window clean, no false alarms.Currently I am using 2 transmitters.

More false alarms then actual detections.
