This system once set up and configured to my little bedroom Rocks. Hooked up to an Onkyo 505 Receiver it rocks my entire room. I had a basic set up with old Aiwa speakers and it didn't do anything. This set up destroys the little zenith system downstairs in the sun room. Very easy to set-up and I'm very pleased with my purchase. Going to look into the upper lever Yamaha set up for my Living room.

We ordered this Yamaha package simply for an upgraded center channel speaker and a new subwoofer, and it came at a great affordable price, I mean you get ALL 6 Speakers for this amazing price, We were finding center channel speakers alone for much higher! [...]they were VERY easy to conect, an idiot could do it !, The sound is quite excellent for smaller speakers, We were expecting that tinny, thin, garbagy sound quality due to vast, past experiences with smaller non-wood cabinet speakers, but I was quickly impressed once they started pumping sound. The ONLY Drawbacks (CONS) I can determine is the fact that the rear channel speakers would have been much better had they been designed on some kind of mounting brackets that would allow the rears to be angled toward the listening area better, like the KLH rears that i already had, I find with some audio tracks the rear channel info gets a little "unheard" or "lost", The subwoofer is surprisingly powerful, clean and crisp and reaches lows much better than what we had expected, the center channel throws singing vocals and speaking voices with great sound, the front channel speakers sound very good but we beleive they could have been designed with better, wider frequency-range woofers in them allowing some low-end bass, the only bass you get is what comes from the sub, which in itself is'nt too bad of a thing at all, but it's not always a good thing to crank the sub up at 2am, but once again Yamaha proves why they ARE one of the best in Home Audio/Video, you cant beat their quality especially for the price, you wont EVER find a sub by itself for under $100 especially one that performs this good! I JUST BOUGHT THESE SPEAKERS A FEW DAYS AGO AND LET ME SAY THAT THEY ARE SOME OF THE BEST SOUNDING SPEAKERS I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE A RATHER LARGE LIVING ROOM AND THEY FILL IT UP WITH GREAT SOUND AND THEY EVEN GO AS FAR AS FILLING MY WHOLE HOUSE WITH SOUND. THE MIDS AND HIGHS ARE CRISP AND CLEAR AND THE SUB DOES A GREAT JOB OF COVERING THE BASS NOTES. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO START A HOME THEATER OR EVEN JUST UPGRADE LIKE I DID THEN THESE ARE AWESOME SPEAKERS!

Very nice set of speakers. I'm no audiophile, so at this point in my life experience I probably wouldn't know real quality speakers if they hit me! That said, the sound is awesome. They match well with my Yamaha HTR-5940 receiver (at 6 ohms impedance - hard to find piece of data if you want to know) and for the price, I couldn't resist. They seem to be only carried by [...], but so far I have seen no draw-backs. They're a good buy for your money.

Amazing, the sound is perfect the subwoofer is perfect with the low sounds and the mid and high range speakers are perfect
